Fantasy Football Championships

So I made the championship..... 10 man league, finished 2nd in the regular season with the LOWEST POINTS FOR IN THE LEAGUE. I got lucky on a bunch of weeks with wins like 80-75 and got destroyed a few times.

 

Made it to the semis against my buddy who purposely sat Landry and Bell in the final week to lose to play me vs one of the other guys with more stacked teams. Hunt going off on Saturday and other good performances gave me my highest point total of the year and I won. Worst thing for my buddy is if he had not sat those guys, he would've made the final since they guy he would've played got killed by the Brown injury. And I would've lost against a guy that has M Thomas / Ingram / Kamara combo that has been ridiculous. But now I get him in the finals

 

So charmed season. My team has some bad matchups but there are a few interesting choices on waivers coming off of injuries. Have claims in for Woods, Bryant and Coleman right now. Hopefully I get all three then will be able to field a better lineup.

 

Anyone else have a charmed season or get screwed by a team like mine?

I’m fighting for the first pick in my league. Last year I was playing for the championship. i lose David Johnson then Dalvin Cook and Chris Thompson so my RBs completely fell apart. Mariota and Carr were my QBs. I had them both last and expected bigger things this year. They got hurt the same week and they haven’t been good much this year. I was lucky enough to have Deshaun Watson for 3 weeks and I was starting a comeback then Watson got hurt. My top receivers were supposed to Amari Cooper and Terrell’s Pryor. I thought those two would be studs after last year especially with Cousins throwing to Pryor instead of the crappy Browns QBs he had last year. I did get some big weeks from Will Fuller but that went away when Watson got hurt. I had the number 3 ranked team in our 12 team leagues at the start of the season. Enjoy this year’s success because it can go the other so easy.

Playing for the 'ship in 2 of 3 leagues this year. One league I crushed the draft akd barely hit the wire, and the other league I only have 4/14 players left from the draft and I've had to make moves like crazy.

 

I'll gladly take a win in either one ?

@ Johnny - I would start who you have shown with the exception of Dak Over Bortles. I expect the Jax / SF to be a lower scoring game.

 

@ Higher - I led both of my leagues in points. One of them I lost last week because of Gurley going crazy. I would have won the other semi game by 30 points. I’m in the championship in my big money league. $250 buy in so the game is worth about $1600 winner and $600 loser.

I’m wishy washy on starting Dak. Aside from the giants game he hasn’t done anything in the last few weeks, and he hasn’t looked good at all.

I won with despite him putting up -2 and 3 back to back, but I feel like even tho seattle’s D is weak zeke is going to eat, and Dak is has the biggest chance burn me. It’s looking like McKinnon isn’t going to make projection and I can’t afford anyone else not to.

I see Bortles coming back to reality, Niners D and pass rush has been pretty good. Dak should be effective on play action. At the end of the day always go with your gutt.

I think Mixon will get a bulk of the work, he looked like the second coming or L Bell before he got hurt. The Bengals just appear to be heartless and half way to Cancun. That team has been stepped on two weeks in a row. That’s why I have hesitations about AJ Green. Graham has been horrible outside of the red zone. He is very TD dependent. I actually prefer Mixon.

I feel the same way about an green as I do amari cooper. It’s feast or famine. And the way the teams are playing it’s hard to trust them.

Cleveland isn’t beating pit next week unless they sit everyone, so I’m buying into the ‘This is their last shot at a win this year, and they are going to get up for it’ group, so I would play Gordon.

 

You talked me Into dak, that game has higher scoring potential, and Dak has a higher ceiling.

I really wanted advice at we weather to keep with Watkins, or go cooper, stills, or Cobb.... but now I’m 2nd guessing not starting Mixon

I would play bortles over Dak and I wouldn’t even need to think about it.

 

SF pass defense is in the bottom 5 I believe. Seattle, even without Sherman and Chancellor has been fairly solid. Dak has been flat out bad most of the year and for the last month Bortles has been great. Actually, bortles has been really solid for the last half of the season. Dak is a messy rollercoaster.

We have a nice little league going. This is our 12th year. 10 man league, $150 buy in. Winner (not me) gets $1000, loser (me) gets $500.

I lost by 4 points.... Stafford and Jones having bad games against cincy killed me. I think after this year I'm putting Stafford on my never ever again list, joining Cutler and a retired Tony Romo on the permanent bench.
