Snapping fingers when you've smashed a putt is the worst rising habit

Recommended Posts

First of all, you've already hit your putt too hard and whatever gesticulations you make aren't going to slow it down. But when you repeatedly make a sharp loud sound, it's incredibly annoying, and you clearly only started doing it because you're picking up all of Jordan Spieth's bad habits. It makes me legit angry.

Why do so many people try to find so many reasons to be "legit" outraged? Be happy you're healthy and have the means to enjoy a sport we all love.

I agree.

Because we re in the period of being "me first". The legacy of Baby Boomers and the decades of the new generations whom never knew the real hardship in life. It is exhibited in everyday life on the freeway, on political front , in the media and unfortunately the violence we're experiencing in places where we had never had.

If anything, snapping your fingers is the “me first” behavior. It’s distracting and inconsiderate of your fellow players.

And just to be clear, it’s Baby Boomers who caused this ruinous state of things. Participation trophies, for example, exist because Baby Boomers wanted something to give their underachieving kids because “my kid is special!” Most people who received participation trophies are a bit embarrassed about them and never wanted them in the first place.

People who use the word "Legit"....fml.......see no one cares. There are too many problems in this world to care about finger snapping, club twirling, excessive practice swings, guys claiming to hit it 300 and then hit it 270. Not trying to be condescending just saying once you go down this rabbit hole of paying attention to others, where does it leave room for your own game.

If all "me first" behaviors make you this upset, da udder guy was right. You must be upset all the time.

But just to be clear, "Baby Boomers" are grandfathers and great grandfathers by now. Their underachieving kids are far beyond receiving "participation trophies". PTs are a fairly recent phenomenon. Possibly you meant "millennials".

And if snapping fingers for the few seconds a guy's putt is rolling bothers you, how do you feel when they "shout" "Get in the hole" ? Or "Go. Go" ? Or "Get legs" ? Or, or, or,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

That's too funny. I'm very tail end of the baby boomers and the wife just slots into Gen X. She gives me a lot of flak, bit now I get to tell her that her generation is responsible for the milienials.

You are way off on what generations want participation trophies.
