Don't rob me of all my strokes...I shot 87. LOL Stopped caring after 11...once I knew I was out of it. Was just trying to get out of the way for the guys I was playing with...as they were playing pretty well.

 

At least I didn't WD like lots of people. LOL

 

That is a course you need to see prior to playing in a tournament...that's for sure. Some of the fastest greens I've EVER played...paired with a few holes that are quirky.

 

Played a better in my practice round at Watchung Valley though...so that's good. Back to normal speed greens helps!!!

Hard to prepare hitting a 20 foot putt like a 5 footer.

 

I hit that first putt on the putting green and I said "Oh boy!!" Knew I was in for some trouble.

I was stoked watching the scores go up on the front 9. What happened on the 150 yard par 3? Was there water or plug in a bunker?

 

In any event...hit them well and post a great number tomorrow and give it a chance to make the cut!!

160y, uphill +10, wind in from 2 o'clock, with a green that had a false front, and a 2.5' ledge in the middle of it. Hit an 8i flighted...divot at 5' from the hole and rolled all the way to the front fringe. Hit a putt as a gust came and rolled to the top of the hill then back to me into the rough. Chip into the hill, 3 putt. Quick way to make a 6. Smh. Damn Donald Ross designing that 9...

Well, those 3 holes on my first day back 9 sealed my fate. Played well today but, not well enough.

 

Missed the cut after going 78, 74 (+12 for the tourney). Learning experience for sure, on to the next one.
