I recently bought a couple gloves from MG and was given the option to buy a dozen SR2 balls for $10 at checkout. They came in a generic MG ball box and they were random numbers, but brand new. I wish I were given the option to buy more. Not my favorite ball, but at $10 a dozen it was a no brainier.

What’s different with these being “your select”? What’s the compression?

I played the retail SR3 before. It played great, but wasn’t all that durable.

Tempted as well. I used these before but veered away when the Chrome Soft came out. Good balls

My 2 dozen just came. They seem fine, but came in a generic box and are all the same number.

Were they all the "s" version of the SR3?

New Callaway 5 piece urethane balls for $22? I just play two rounds today with the Callaway SR3s or pro version that mg golf sells. I also gave a few of them out to the group I play with to gather better input. I am a 10 handicap and swing speed 108ish. Here are my thoughts:  long off the tee very similar in distance to chrome soft x. I felt it had a more penetrating flight. With my irons it felt great and I got my 9 iron to check back a touch on a turtle back green. Chipping is where I could tell the performance it would check and roll out just a touch. Roll out maybe a touch more than the chromesoft x which I think checks well. It felt firm but not like the older iz (rock hard) Callaway’s. Even though it was a little firmer I was surprised when it didn’t have that clicky sound off the putter which I can’t stand. All in all it performed very well and held up against the tree and cart path. I can shred some of the softer balls with approach wedges. These held up even though that was where I think the ball felt the hardest or clicky at those 100 yard wedge shots.   Out of the other three one was a 1 handicap with a very high swing speed and he liked it off the tee but did his low 20 yard chip and expected it to one hop and stop. Well he said it one hopped...then rolled out four feet not what he gets from the prov1x. Full shots worked great and his normal chipping was fine. The other two were 12-13 handicap and slower swing speeds probably around 95-100.   They thought it performed well one got his to spin back on a 120 yard par 3 five feet and he hardly ever spins on him maybe because he’s used to duos. But he really liked it around the green and off the tee. They both did and didn’t have any complaints about the feel around the green or off the tee so it’s not hard as one expects. Though I would have to say closer to 100 swing speed would probably take advantage of this ball kinda reminds me of srixon Z star xv version just a touch less firm. I find it is better than the original sr3.

Awesome feedback man! Great little write up..

If you were to rank this ball 1-4 between Prov, chrome soft, Bridgestone 330s. Where would you rank these?

Thanks for the pics man!

Thanks OP. I grabbed 4 dzn. Can you explain to me though how you found that deal on that website? That site is impossible to navigate. I went to the main page and could not for the life of me find my way back to that deal

I signed up on their site for "specials", most of their emails just advertise the regular stuff and are junk (not their stuff, just the emails) but occasionally they have other stuff.

Just got an email from them for the Tour select SR2 today as well. No idea what the difference between SR3 and 2 is but maybe someone wants them.

Difference is swing speed. Following is taken from the Interweb:

"They have introduced the 'Speed Regime' series. The balls are designed to benefit players in three categories. The SR-1 is for players with swing speeds lower than 90mph, then the SR-2 is for speeds ranging between 90 and 105mph, and finally the SR-3, is engineered for the 105+mph players.

I bought a few dozen. Some are like the photos above with "SR3s" but others are followed by a star "SR3*". Anyone know the difference? I found some old threads about the s and dot models but not the star model.

From this thread, looks like the star is Furyk's ball. Not sure on the characteristics.

http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/topic/1451670-callaway-speed-regime-3-tour-issue-golf-balls/

I received some SR3-3 and SR3S balls with my order a few weeks back. The SR3S felt better to me, a bit softer.

Anyone have a new link to these balls ??

They're probably all sold out by now. They had some SR2 tour balls I believe and those seem to sell out quicker than the SR3 tour balls. Sign up for MG golf's newsletter/email and they'll send out promo e-mails when they get these limited run supplies.

Any of you guys get these balls? Legit site? Never really seen these guys before

They are legit. I bought two dozen. Come in a generic box with random numbers as another poster already said. They must bulk buy them and repackage in their own box.

Have yet to try them out. Getting along very well with the AVX currently, but I will try them soon.

MG golf is back this weekend with the Callaway HexChrome 3-piece Urethane for those wanting more cheap urethane options to confuse yourself with.
