Need a New Golf Ball

So, I was using ProV1's for a long time. I came upon $1500 worth of them in my old company's warehouse - got them for nothing. So, good or bad, was playing them. They're finally running out and it's time to pick a new ball. Make no mistake, I realize it was probably the wrong golf ball for my game... but free is better than cheap.

 

I'm a high handicap, but that was probably more because I was inconsistent with the wrong ball and swinging too hard. I'll be fixing both of those.

 

So, what are some of the better soft balls these days?

Pick a ball from green to tee. Comes down to how you want the ball to perform around the green, then feel, then price for me. ;)

Still plenty of 2017 models left over for 30$ dozen.

Chromesofts are a great ball.

 

However Brigestones may be the best bang for the buck. Great ball. Long off the tee and crazy spin around the nice grass.

I'd try the Pinnacle Soft or the Titleist TruSoft. I think they will do what your looking for, but not feel or look completely different...

I second this. If you're a mid or high handicap then you want a good ball at an affordable price.

Honestly, Top Flite Gamer softs, IMO, are a great ball for mid/high capper. I have been using this ball exclusively as an experiment to see if sticking with one ball would impact my game. I just shot my lowest score of even par with the GS this past Monday.

I find the MG C4 golf balls to be great and are always $20/dozen. Not the softest but soft enough. Fairly durable and solid mid and short iron spin. I think they're at least on par with most urethane balls. And you don't need to wait for a sale
