Vokey SM7 Raw Finish

Has anyone purchased the Vokey SM7 raw finish from wedgeworks? Would love to see pictures of them, especially if you can get them side by side with the tour chrome finish. Curious how much difference there is in terms of looks and glare between the finishes (or whether they look very similar and it is just the rust factor). Trying to find replacements for my Oil Can wedges (wish they still offered them).

Cant provide side by side pics, but I notice a huge difference between my raw SM6s and the chrome by my irons. My vokeys were jet black that I stripped to raw, so basically the same finish as the wedgeworks version now. Zero glare, and yes they definitely rust/patina.

I got the raw this year. I'll try to take some comparison pics. Usually in the past, I would get the Jet Black and strip it. I will say that the raw are much darker than the stripped Jet Black. A very dull grey. I will see if they patina any different.

Can people post some pictures of their SM7 raw wedges after using them? Only interested in pictures of them used for awhile without doing anything other than standard cleaning with them. Trying to decide whether to buy the raw or black again.

The only difference I saw was the hue they start off as. Keep in mind that I did not polish the black heads in a rock tumbler after I stripped them. I have a feeling that this is the reason for the difference in color. I also felt like the raw didn't patina as quickly but it did patina more uniformly than the stripped black. If you're a player who likes rusty wedges, I'd forgo the raw and strip the black wedges. The raw wedges stay a deep, dull gray color much longer, at least in my experience. I'm sure there are a lot of factors that go into it.
