Might want to hold off a bit. They dug up the 4th fairway by the new ponds and is playing like a temporary par 3 off of the mounds on the right.

So question for the Calgary folks. Looking to get some new irons fit and just wondering if ya'll got a go to guy/place. Quick google search and Ted & Dave Custom Golf doesn't seem like to bad of an option. Any experiences with them?

I few of us have been fit by Kale at T&D.  I thought it was okay, as their available shafts and heads is limited.  I would also consider going to Modern Golf and getting fit by Craig or Jeremy

I was there too. 3 doubles as well. 140y in on 15 and chunked it into the drink. Almost quit golf on the spot.

Haha. I had 148 in. Hit it to 9 feet. Lipped out the eagle

played olds last night it was beautiful out! 
 

after our 18 (shot 77.. could have been better) we played some extra holes until dark. 
 

in total yesteday, my round plus the 5 extra holes we played, I played 6 par 5 holes and was -7 in those holes (5 birds and an eagle) 

 

so just need to tighten up a few things and should be good! Need to dial in the new driver swing a touch.

I got a time booked Monday for Crowsnest Pass. Gary Browning just redid it two years ago and added i think 7 new holes or something. Should be interesting. I'll be sure to take some pics. Some people i know have played it recently and said it's fantastic. Quite excited.

Had a pretty good run last week that included Mt. Kidd and Mickelson National. That was the first time I've pegged it at MN, and maybe it's because I played pretty well, but man...that track is SO good. Instantly one of my fav's! It's incredibly unique, as in you never play the same hole twice. The green complexes were pretty awesome with backboards and slopes to use and places you definitely can't miss it. Lots of room to hit driver and the greens were rolling really well. The only knock I had was the (drivable?) Par-4 7th. All risk, no real reward. When I play it again, it'll be a wedge-wedge, pretty boring hole. Other than that, what a track! Really nice, grass range, super friendly greeting in the pro-shop and the staff/marshals were all very pleasant. We played with a member, so it was $120. I guess Non-member guest rate is in that $175 range, which is a little too steep for my taste when you can play Kananaskis for $100. But for the lower rate, I'll be back there in a heartbeat.

The Calgary qualifier for the Am is at Elbow Springs next month and the only practice round I could get booked was for this Wednesday. High of 36º! Thank God we're off early, might have to cart it for this one.

Haven't played there since it was The Elks, but I always really liked that track

Played there two years ago.  Don't spray the ball, otherwise the trees will get you.  I enjoyed it.  Of course @Double K was making sure I stayed out of trouble.  😉

It’s probably the best inner city course in Calgary. A little tough off the tee the first time out. Best to play to the 150 if you can’t see from the tee.

So took your guys advice and got fitted at Modern Golf. Great Set up and fitting. Thought they did a fantastic job. Now the wait begins...

Got out to Black Bull, it’s in pretty good shape. They must of gotten way more rain then in Edmonton, lost a ball in a huge puddle in a bunker haha. Tough track, I can never seem to play good there.
