Played copper point with the wife the last 2 days. Little get away without any kids. Stayed at the resort. Very nice place! Shot 76/73. Greens are super tricky!

sorry to be a bit off topic, but has anyone here ever bought from the for sale forum from anyone down south? is it worth it or is the hassle too much, or are people there even willing to ship to Canada, I notice a lot mention ship to conus, so might not even be bothered.

I've purchased a number of items from forum members in the USA and well on E-Bay.  I always insisted on them shipping via USPS/Canada Post and if they won't I decline.  Only had 1 bad experience were the guy told his g-friend to go to post office and send my item and she decided to sent it FedEX, who now wanted me to pay the Custom/Duty & Brokerage charges before they would turn over the item.  Not sure if the rules have changed recently, but normally when it's shipped USPS/Canada Post I haven't paid any of those additional fee's because most often the seller puts a low declared value on the item or says it was a gift and Customs don't bother with it . Every item I purchased from the US, close to or over 100 golf items, mainly club building components & they have always been delivered with a tracking number, for me the system works. 

 

For the past few years I spend 3 months in Palm Springs every winter & no longer have any issues. Perhaps others here have more recent experience shipping to Canada can chime in & share.

are you itching to head to PSP? I’ve been a couple of times but have friends that are really missing it. The one actually drove back in feb or March 2020, as the borders were being shut down and is really itching to go. He lost a couple of weeks rent.

Tks we booked a rental for 3.5 months in Cat City, hoping the border is open for drive through traffic by January 01st otherwise we fly and will ship my clubs. If that's the case will have to figure out what to do for a vehicle, but we decided that won't stop us this winter. We had travel insurance last time they closed the border & we got it again in the event the Gooberment close our border once again.

I buy off there all the time, but get it shipped to my PO box in Whitefish.

Sept 10th - Today was a fun day, shot my lowest round of the year, had a couple more birdie putts that didn't drop, those were Kansas City "Paul" aka "Vernon"  Takie's ©, for par's. 

 

Got 61 rounds in since April 13th when the home course opened was told they will be shutting it down on Turkey Day weekend.

 

Easy game .... hope you're also having fun enjoying this terrific weather.

Speargrass is in the best shape I have ever seen it. Played this morning and it was so good. 
 

Finally got some redemption on the back 9

 

shot 30 with a bogey. 
 

birdied the last 6 holes coming in!

Definitely a scary one. Lucky I hav eno problem with distance. Flew it right onto the middle of the green. 
 

for such a tough driving hole I don’t understand why they made the green so tough. Toughest green on the course

15 is pretty tough, which makes sense being a shorty 5. 

 

17 is just a dumb Pete Dye style hole.

Haha only played there once. Can’t remember much. Just the one big downhill par 3 and the first hole with power lines across the fairway

Greens are pretty pure.

Got out to Stewart Creek for the first time yesterday. Really enjoyed the round, views are stellar and the course was pure. So many great tracks around these parts!

Priddis is prob my favourite I have played in Alberta.

 

I love Stewart creek as well.

The 'rip it's and 'never mind' are the 250y markers on the par 5s. 

 

I walked in 4h, not the easiest course to walk. Would have been faster, but caught a 3 some on 11.

Only two. One on the approach into 9 and then left off the tee on 10. One double and lots of pars. Got up and down from right of the green on 18 for 79.

 

Made par on 12 and actually had a decent look at birdie. Anyone who has played the course knows how much of a brute that hole is.
