Heatherglen greens very nice! 
 

Lots of leaves on the course though. Hard to spot your ball sometimes.

Played Gleneagles yesterday . Was good, the greens are slowish, but fine for this time of year.  Bunkers haven’t had their spring raking/ cleanup and we’re not receptive to a sand wedge.  Nice day.

We were out at Heatherglen on Sunday as well. Figured they might have cleaned up more of the leaves, but golfing in shorts in April? Can't complain...

Red Tail is in great shape, if we get normal rain this year it will be mint. Greens are above average already.

Speargrass is great. Interested to see what they do to 18. Looks like some reshaping around the green 

 

also, off to Kimberly Monday for 6 rounds in 3 days. Supposed to be like mid 20’s. Can’t wait!

Played D'Arcy Ranch today. 

 

They have punched their greens, so the heat this week will help. 

 

But they need rain bad. The place is a complete dustbowl. 

 

They are rebuilding the fairway bunker on the left of #8, so that is GUR at the moment. Looks like they whacked the brush back on the entire course, so it's a bit less penal until the fescue grows in.

I played at Darcy on Friday. Was very dry, very dusty. Except for the holes in the valley which had extremely soggy sections of fairway. 

 

We also had our Alberta's first wildfire evacuation of the year up near Edmonton on Saturday. Rain is badly needed.

They had a worker hand watering the surrounds on Sunday, not sure if they are having issues or what, but I was absolutely covered in dust.

Played Strathmore a few times. Good to get out .Greens running well.  Dusty , yes, and looks like they’ve regravelled a lot of the paths, cart paths only for first 2 games. Some rain should settle that down.  🤞

Dang, it won't stop raining here in Ontario, and you guys are dry as a bone.  What a weird spring.  Almost the southernmost part of the country and we got some snow last night.  

 

Hopefully everyone is ok out there.

Good to hear about Strathmore. I'll definitely be out there a few times this year. 

 

Playing Serenity Saturday morning!

Played LIV North (Mickelson) on sunday, greens were pretty decent albeit quite soft, but healthy and quick and should roll a little truer once they firm up. Fairways were pretty brown but in good shape. Course is way more fun when it plays firmer but still enjoy the layout.

Mickelson 

Played today. Got some rain. Course is just starting to wake up. Greens are fast and firm. I revoke my critic card for courses till validated by someone else. Course is fun and a great challenge. The long par 4's ate some strokes today. I look forward to playing it a few more times this summer. 

Hamptons- The bounciness is something I can never get used to. Just waking up as well. 

Olds- Coming around nicely. I would say better shape than the aforementioned. Aeration next week in the heat wave.

 Only played mickelson once, last October and I loved it. Hope to play there again this year! It is a tough walk! Lol

 

got some passes through work so Speargrass Friday, blue devil Saturday 

 

found something in the swing and a little something on the greens last weekend, so I’m looking forward to playing again

I saw a couple athletes waking today. I wouldn’t at that course. I look forward to when it’s lush. That course is built for bombers at the back. 
glad you found some goodness! Mine was fleeting and I have to go through a few grinds to get it back. Go low!
