It's the T alignment DJ was using on his Spider Black when he won the Sentry Tournament of Champions. He's been trying other putters since, but he always come back to this one.

I tried to resist the tour black spider for months. It’s not a looker. But dang it makes putts so now it’s in the bag.

The insert is grey. It looked black on the pictures. I guess my phone tricked me.

 

Putter looks good. But I really hope it has a slant neck version.

Just looked on TMAG website. It has a platinum and red version with a 5 mm aluminum insert. No idea what that insert is

 

Why is it so hard to make a spider tour black with a sightline? Or a spider tour mini with the firm insert?!?

Saw it at a demo day last night. Dont think it looked as bad in person. I didnt putt with it. Felt well balanced. He said it would be available in silver.

 

He also said that the "T" alignment could be ordered on the rest of the spiders starting soon via custom options.

There are a lot of ugly putters out there, but this one has to be near the top. I would never game this. I think its a total flop by Taylormade. At least they took a chance with something new... I can applaud that.

Rolled the mini today... I like the head shape and T alignment. Just not a fan of the aluminum insert. I’ll probably buy one anyway though LOL!

Just bought the silver version yesterday. Wasn’t sure of the looks at first but after rolling a few with it I don’t even think about it. The aluminium insert does give it a firmer feel and the head is heavier but I think I will get used to it.

I don’t know if Taylormade hates me but I basically wanted a spider tour black with a slant neck and a sight line. It’s the only configuration they don’t make! Then they make myspider and it only comes in the softer insert. Now they make a mini but it doesn’t come in black and no slant neck and softer insert arrgh!!!

 

I got so sick of waiting that I just got a 5.5M and have been really rolling it well.

 

It’s a shame because I loved my spider tour black and wanted to keep gaming it but don’t understand some of the decisions OEMs make?
