Just bought a set of MACTEC M685's 3-PW (brand new in MacGregor box) with stiff graphite shafts for $264 including shipping from an Ebay golf store. (Same exact set is at Golfsmith right now @ $799. Found them on sale at Golf Galaxy for $399 but in regular flex) Was so happy, bought a lot of 6 Wilson Tour Soft gloves for less than $30 including shipping from same place. I'm a happy boy.

Long story about my driver hoeing....

 

Spent $150 on a used 905R....sold it back to Golfsmith a month later for $140.....total = $-10

Bought a Superquad on ebay for $150, sold through Craigslist for $225...total = $+65

Bought a Bridgestone J33R on Ebay for $45....total = $+20

Sold J33R back to golfsmith for $175 with trade in coupon and Clubvantage coupon....total = $+155

Bought used Ping G10 for $250 at golfsmith....total $-95.

 

So I bought a mint G10 for $95 about 5 months after it was released...sweet! And I got to test 3 other drivers for 4 months in the process!

You guys got some good deals. My best deal (which wasn't that great) was a used Cleveland Comp 9.5° with an NV in the used bin at Golfsmith back when those were $399 on the rack and a relatively new release. Price was $240, but they were running a 20% off pre-owned special. Got it for $192+tax.

My best deal was a brand new Scotty Cameron Circa 62 No.2 with headcover from Dick's Sporting Goods for $169.00.

Just picked up a Taylormade Rescue TP (current model) 19 degree #3 hybrid off of E-bay in 8.5/10 condition for $44 including shipping. The picture on the listing was of a left-handed club but the listing specified right-handed so that may have scared some people off. The seller was a large and reputable vendor so I figured I'd take my chances. The club came in left-handed, but the customer service people were great- e-mailed a pre-paid shipping label for the return and sent me out a right-handed one before I even sent the lefty back. Thanks Global Golf!

You should see if they'll give you $700 store credit for those Macs. Some places will do that and sell them as new for you.

I fell in love with the Pi5 irons at a golf show in Toronto the year they were released. Until I got to Golf Town and saw that they were $1200 CDN at the time (way out of my budget). Well I won an auction on the "bay" and got the 3-PW and matching Tw5 wedges 52*, 56* and 60* for $380 CDN. The best part no shipping as the guy lived 20 minutes from me. I still feel like I stole them.

Pristine Honma gap wedge at a Play It Again Sports for $15 on clearance. All factory grip, labels, etc. Probably hit all of 5 balls by the looks of the face. Had no need for it, so put it on Ebay and got $179 for it.

The Burner TP that I have in my bag was purchased off of eBay for under $225 shipped. Turns out that it's a tour issued driver. Pretty darn good for under $225.

My would be my driver. I got the head (Infiniti Propulsion 440) in an auction after a local clubbuilder went out of business/ retired. I got the head shrinkwrapped and brand new for $2.50. Then I picked up a Fujikura Rombax shaft for it off of a member here for $60. Finally I got the Snake Eyes logo Golf Pride Multicompund Grips for about 4.00 from Golfsmith (closeout with the logo).

 

So not counting the reshaft cost, I have $65 in a brand new driver! I can't wait to hit it because the head has gotten a lot of good reviews on here and other sites around the web.

I snagged a brand new still in the plastic Sonartec NP-99 19* head from ebay for $7. A couple of years ago, my local 2nd Swing Golf closed. I grabbed 14 Mac Burrows corded grips for $10 (very good grips...still in play).

A year ago when Golfsmith had their annual 30% extra trade-in days I picked up a 9.5/10 R5 TP with a Speeder 757 in the used bin marked $129.99, which was what they were selling the regular R5's . A week later I went to Golf Galaxy and they had another R5TP with Diamana Blue mismarked for $99. I had a 15% off coupon. So I bought it for $85. I took the two clubs home and cleaned off the tape and the labels and traded them in for $230 each. The guy looked at me funny when I brought two of the same club to trade in but I told him I wanted to try the two different shafts.

I wonder if we bought from the same seller. I got a LH 2008 Sumo 5000 with Senior Flex that didn't say demo in the auction, but was an easy 9/10 with part of the sticker still on the bottom for $90 shipped. Putting an Aldila NV in it as we speak.

I was at golfsmith last week and a guy was trading in his Scotty Cameron Circa #6 and Scotty Cameron Studio Design #5, the guy behind the counter said that the trade in total for both would $187.00. The guy was ready to take it and then a guy behind him pulled out $200.00 cash and bought them from him instead. It was awesome and I wish that I had the cash on me becuase they were both in perfect shape with headcovers.... One of the best deals I have ever seen...

I also grabbed Taylormade RAC TP irons 3-PW, with a black RAC TP 52* Wedge, Cleveland 58* Wedge, Rossa Putter, r5 Titanium Dual Driver w/ Aldila NVS 75X Shaft, r7 titanium 3 & 7 woods, and a bag for $350. All headcovers, weight kits, ect.

 

The clubs were a solid 9/10 condition.

 

Just picked up a Mizuno 60* lob tonight, brand new for $39 bucks too.
