I caught a few innings at Public House. Place was packed for a Tues since Grand Central was shut down for 2 hours cause of the storms. Had some pulled pork nachos and guiness.

Dear Tiger,

 

I was 12 when you won the 97 Masters. The game I played looked nothing like the game you played. So I played more. I practiced. A lot. I wore red. I fist pumped. I joined the high school golf team. We were booed the first few years. After 2000, we weren't. You made golf cool. Kind of. You won 4 straight majors. You won the US Open by 15 shots. You transcended golf. You transcended sport. You held me captive with the magic you showed on the course. You set the bar impossibly high, and you raised it time and time again. You made me believe you would pull off the shot and hole the putt, yet simultaneously awed me when you willed it in. You were so good for so long, that I eventually took it all for granted. Not this time. I will be watching if you win again. I will be watching if you don't. I will savor every club twirl, stinger, and 15 foot walk-in. I will appreciate the greatness that once was, and hopefully will be again. Welcome back.
