played my first round with them. So far so good, the weight felt great and I made some nice shots with them,hopefully not just a honeymoon period. chipped vary well with them which they produced great spin for stopping. I think I have to get used to the 52 deg as I am coming from a 50 deg. I hit one quite high off the tee one time on a par 3 but I think thats just due to how high I teed the ball. when taking full swings with the 52 and 56 after the first couple shots I was getting more and more confident that I could get after it as they didn't seem to dig to much which I think is due to the V soles i put on them. I have a pretty steep AoA with my wedges and all they seemed to do was take the top layer of grass about 7" long. That may sound long to some but thats quite standard for me but normally I would dig more than just the grass up. One of my approach shots from the fairway had some great juice on it and ripped back about 10ft it was a fun shot to watch with a front pin over some water.

I haven't been able to play in the last little bit but the first round was good, felt great. I am playing in a Tournament (friends) so I will get some more wedge practice with them and let you know. They are starting to tarnish just sitting in the house, its a little humid right now.

Play-ability update.

So I went out and played a friends golf tournament on Saturday and was pleasantly surprised. The wedges felt great (like budda). The course we played wasn't the longest so I had many opportunities 110 yards and in so the wedges got a workout.

Feel: The feel was great, see comment above, and feedback was good as well. I started to get a little to loose from the swing lube as the boys like to get into the sauce so by the end of the round the clubs were letting me know when I missed the sweet spot.

Performance: These wedges work great, consistent as any bladed wedge can be. The only thing that im not sure of is if these are conforming grooves because they can put some spin on the ball. A couple of full 56deg shots ripped back quite a bit and even a few pitches gave the ol' one hope and stop.

I have a little homework to do to see if these are conforming grooves or meet the standard. I really hope these meet the standard because I would like them to stay in the bag because they are fun to hit.

reviving this thread as I will be doing a new set of wedges and I have been told that there will be a set of iron heads available in the near future. The reason for the revile is to gain some more knowledge of additional tools I could use to produce a consistent look across all the wedges and irons. The lesson that I learned is that eye balling each wedge as I grind just isn't going to work even if I shade the areas I want to grind away. The wife got a new toy that cuts vinyl and I was thinking of creating a pattern that I could print out and stick onto the face of the wedge to provide the consistent look on each club head? if anyone has a better idea I would be more than happy to hear. Also I see the pro's using a protractor device when measuring the bounce is this a specific tool or can I find this anywhere?

for those that do this how did you shape the top line of the club more specifically the crotch of the top line because I had to hand file this and if im going to do a whole set this may get a little tiresome.
