Possible bad deal in the works here on BST

Not sure if this is the correct forum to post this in but I felt I needed to warn fellow board members before the same happens to them.

 

Found a nice shirt that caught my fancy posted here on the BST by a RE_Murphy13.

So I contacted him after checking his feedback, which looks gtg by the way.

Sent payment early last Wednesday morning ( before 8am Est)

 

He promptly responded & said he'd provide tracking info once it shipped. HOWEVER....I've received no tracking info nor any more communication from him since. I've sent 2 pms since with NO response. Yet it appears he's been online a handful of times since last Wednesday.

I would like to give him the time to ship because I understand it's easy to get busy & unforseen issues arise. However ignoring my pms without offering an explanation to what the circumstances could be... I would think a gtg board member would offer. A simple, "hey I'm sorry I didn't manage to get this out. I'll ship it by fill in the day", would suffice. I'm finding the lack communication shady.

 

Now why the thread on this?

 

Simple. His BST thread is still open for sale. I'd thought I'd warn other board members of what I'm going through. And again, his feedback appears gtg. And might be misleading.

There’s something to be said for that however if the guy’s been active in my opinion there’s little to no excuse for him not the let the buyer know. Lack of communication is a big issue at times and so easy to avoid.

I agree the seller probably could shoot a PM back. Maybe the seller got the email notification and didn't check the forum immediately. If he was on mobile, there is nothing notifying you of your PM. The buyer sending 2 PM's in such short time is kinda needy.

You get an email notification or a notification via mobile? I get a pop-up and red number using the full site but using mobile I only get email notification. I do agree that communication should be returned but does this seller with 200+ feedbacks not get the benefit of the doubt before we start a thread about him a few days after purchase?

It’s a pretty inexpensive shirt. Im sure there is nothing to worry about. I’m guessing it’s in the mail sent regular 1st class and will be there by Tuesday.

Wether he forgot to send you a pm or not this is very early to begin to panic and start a thread especially with a good seller. Just chill and give it a few more days. His feedback should’ve earned him a couple more days

He may have read it, saw that it wasn't an "emergency" on your part and did not have time to respond. People have 2 business days to ship as standard I believe... with that much good feed back I think he will make whole on the deal.

 

As long as you didn't send family and friends, I think you will be ok.

Wow. I don’t even really want to respond to this. I was busy with work and family activities the last couple days. Everything I sold shipped usps priority yesterday morning, but I was gone all afternoon. I sent the tracking to everyone this afternoon when I finally had a chance. I didn’t even read the pm’s until this morning. Perfect feedback for over 200 transactions, it should speak for itself. I’m not going to respond anymore on this. As it’s a waste of time. Enjoy the shirt.

I've had 3-4 transactions with Rob and they have all be WAY better than advertised and he always shipped quickly. 2 days and starting a thread is too early especially with someone who has over 200+ positive feedback.

I thought he said he paid Wednesday. If my counting is correct that’s four days in my book. I would definitely EXPECT a shipping info within 48hrs after paying, especially with someone who’s got 200+ feedback.

 

Let’s hope it’s just a simple dripped the ball on the seller as he seems to have the feedback to back him up.

I don’t necessarily think the OP should have started this thread but these are not “business” transactions so I don’t get that angle. People are selling personal goods. The clock starts ticking when the item is sold and doesn’t stop until the item is shipped. USPS/Sundays can be excepted of course.

 

And I don’t think the dollar amount is relevant either. I don’t care if it’s a $35 shirt or a $7k tour Cameron I sold someone. Each buyer deserves the same treatment.
