Is the M4 ridiculously hard to Turn Over or is it just me????

Played a M2 last 2 years and loved it.

Switched to M4 because that's just what I do and while Im hitting some bombs I find this thing Very hard to hit a nice draw.

I can power fade it all day but even on the highest setting Im hitting fades. I never fade the ball. Losing distance like crazy here.

Ive tried the Rogue and can move it both ways no problem.....

Anyone else?? Maybe it's just me.

I haven't snapped one OB since buying it which is good but I'd like to move it right to left on demand and I can't.

The first things I would check would be swingweight and face angle. Heavier swingweights can be harder for some people to turn over. Have you/did you alter the loft on your old M2?

Agreed! Super hard to turn draw but easy enough to fade....I need balance! Good for a hooker tho

I was a hooker before now If I don't concentrate I hit it 56 yards to the right....

So the ridiculous question is why not go back to the M2?

I found the M4 to want to rock slightly open when you rest it on the ground. I think it does this because of the sole shape. Try strengthening your grip, particularly your left hand, and hover it so you start in a square orientation rather than open.

No issues here, same shaft and went from M2 to M4 with same settings.

If you drew the ball by hitting toe while swinging in-to-out, then you may struggle "turning it over" as you were never really doing it before.

This. Check your impact location. I find the m3 and m4 pretty easy to turn over. And i do miss slightly toe side...however my miss is a hook lately.

If i hit toe side im pretty straight unless i block it.

I've had my M4 for a couple months now, maybe 20-25 rounds. My shots will draw slightly about as often as with my previous driver (Cobra F6) but probably not as often as the Ping G SF Tec before the Cobra. But I almost never get the hard draw, bordering on a hook that I would occasionally see with the others. So I'd reckon if you really want an aggressive 15-20 yard draw maybe the M4 isn't your best choice.

My normal, solid shots with the F6 was pretty much straight, no more than a couple yards curve either way. With the M4 that shot tends to fade off maybe five yards at the end. I don't ever over-fade or slice the M4 but it will drift a bit, although it doesn't seem to cost me any distance on those shots.

My M4 is very tough to draw but its a dead straight to baby fade bomber. My best drives come when impact is center high on the face. the more toey I hit the more fade I get it seems and this seems to be a little different than what I am used to but not bad news at all. I just line up the ball closer to center/heel when I take my address position and then turn and burn. Love the ball flight.

Check you impact position with the ball and see if in fact you are center toe or more toe in terms of the ball strike location and then try and move that back to the center center high position with your practice sessions or on course.

What about closing the face a bit, and/or using the upright feature to try to see if fly changes?

I find my M2 to be very "neutral" and the flight changes weekly depending on my swing. Some days I'm hitting 10 yard draws... other days fades, and some days I can't keep it on the planet. My old Cobra Fly Z was almost always straight or draw shaping, I found it tough to hit fades other than huge miss hit slices, but it was a slightly higher static loft.

I'd try the M4 in upright in addition to having the loft as high as possible. If that doesn't help.... D type. If that doesn't help... grip change.

Lastly, a properly hit fade shouldn't spin more than a draw when both balls are hit in the center with the same dynamic loft. So if you're getting high spinny fades, to me, it sounds like a contact issue (heel side). Foot spray that puppy up and see where you're striking it.

i just sold it.

I'm not a fade player - hated the flight hated the look hated the 10 yard distance loss....

Ill eat my pride and play the Rogue even thought Im not a fan of Callaway the Rogue is a monster

I have not tried the M4 but the M4 Type D gives me a nice draw and in the middle or left side of the fairway almost every time. It might not be the longest but it's the easiest driver I've hit to date that puts me in places of the fairway that I has helped me reach more GIR's. Love it. I do have the UST Mamiya Attas Cool shaft which may contribute to my consistency of the Tee.

factis most people who play a draw with a 460CC driver do so by hitting it high and toeside ...... so of course the twist face will take this away... which is exactly why its only good for a slicer... or a true hooker... thhe low spin, high , slight draw bomb is harder with this driver..

it was Very hard. My draws are usually from my club path in to out and a pretty well timed release. I couldn't do it with the M4. 7-8 rounds was enough to give up on.

Season is too short to fight it.

I'm a high toe ball hitter and my misses were really, really bad with the M4. Twist face ruined that driver for me. I don't think I ever turned it over once. Sold it for cash on the range and bought a g400 on BST. Best choice made all year so far. g400 beat my Epic too. Have a Max on the way to try as well now.

I play the M3 but agree with you. For me, it is a God send because of this. My miss under pressure use to be a hard hook. With at least 20 rounds under the M3 I do have to deal with a slight fade but yet to lose one OB.

I don't really have figured out as to why yet, but it does seem to set a little open at address?

I love it!
