About half way down https://www.nike.com/us/en_us/c/golf/rzn-tour page is a little scroller thing that really made me understand the difference in the two. But these compared to the Red and Whites are different if I remember correctly.. I have 6 brand new Red, and a brand new white I think somewhere in the stash. MAYBE I'll cut those open too.

well I meant from a construction standpoint. I know that the plat is supposed to be softer, have more feel, and spin more. afaiknew, both were 4pc but how did they accomplish? seems that you've really gotta have a higher swing speed to compress the ball vs the plat.

 

it just looks via the pictures that the layers are the same thickness between the two balls.

So I played the Cut Blue vs Snell - Red and all due respect to the legend Dean Snell, I see no noticeable difference between these balls.

 

Now I am a 12 index currently so maybe my ability isn’t enough to notice minor performance variables, but hit enough good strikes to say they were equal for me.

 

Your experience may differ.

Curse to live in Socal. Can golf year round , overpriced and over crowded courses , conditions are suspect at most places and cost of living sucks.

 

I am not complaining really, just saying quality of golf isn’t always great waiting on every hole behind 5-somes at times.

I got some new balls in the other day, stopped by the store and found some good ones that I haven't cut yet. I think I'll be chipping and putting with some this week to make myself feel good for not cutting amazing condition balls, haha.

They are in fact 4-pc balls. Here is a photo of the 2014 B330-S with the core removed so you can see the two mantle layers. The inner one is slighlty darker than the outer one.

Here you go! On the top is the new 2019 ProV1 and on the bottom is the 2017 ProV1. They are saying they made the cover slightly thinner which looks to be true. And it looks like the middle layer is a hair thicker to me. Anyway, thought a lot of you would like to see this.
