So did a little range time and had the KE4, TS4 TS1M and a tag along TS1 7i.

All clubs had a RT 105 S.

I tried to keep a smooth consistent swing on all the clubs. Probably my 75% swing. Didn't want to skew the data being aggressive with any one club.

Obviously the KE4 is the easiest to hit and for me the most consistent. During the test next in consistency was the TS1M. Followed by the TS4 and then the TS1.

Data as follows is predictable given the lofts.

But afterward I grabbed the TS4 and wanted to Ike Turner it. Hit it, till you love me.

I picked up the pace a bit and swung the TS4 with more Tempo.  I was rewarded with a bug jump in distance and consistent flight. The sound it makes is definitely a click style. But these were range balls so it's really tough to go off of sound. But I looked down after about 20 balls and the face pattern was beautiful. Much like the MMB of old the TS4 seems to like some aggressive moves. The MMB did nothing with a lazy swing. Basically I felt the TS4 come to life.

I swapped in the TS1M with that same aggressive swing. It didn't seem to like it as much and my face pattern showed some all over strikes. But performance didn't seem to suffer all that much. So forgiveness seems to be a strong point with the TS1M.

On the face strike pics the TS4, KE4 then the TS1M in that order. The TS4 face pattern is perfect. The KE4 is a touch heal side, could use a touch flatter lie. The TS1M pattern surprised me. It was a bit all over.

Data pics have the clubs name on the pics.

This was a really fun session and quite unexpected. As with any club you must spend some quality time over several sessions to see what you and it likes. The KE4 remains just an easy club to hit.

I kept the TS3 out of this comparison as with its TT  Score shaft its not a really fair look.

If you look at the data you can see I swung the KE4 the slowest by a tick. The added loft shows in the MPH and the spin. The TS4 likes to fly. This club really surprised me today.

I would like to find a place with great turf and repeat this go round.

Excellent comparison @Popeye64. This quantifies what I've seen so far. I'll say that the TS4 is not nearly as happy from a hitting mat as it is from the grass with a decent ball. These things wanna breathe and really stretch their legs. The more speed, the happier they seem to be and really show their true character. Like a fancy sports car.

The data seems to confirm what I experience with my KE4 Max irons.  The trajectory is higher than expected given the loft-comparable to my standard lofted player's irons they replaced.  They respond very well to a less aggressive swing as reflected in your smash numbers.  I have been playing poorly as of late because of poor contact and really slowed to a lazy relaxed swing the last couple rounds.  Surprisingly,  I only lost about 1/2 club in distance.  Right now, I have no desire to even try anything else.

Awesome.  Thanks for the photos of DBM vs TS4.   Has anyone hit the DBM and TE?  Does the DBM have a “clickier” sound?   I love the feel of TE, not sure if the DBM would be the same.

I have not hit the TE, but I do have the DBM and TS3.  The DBM is softer than the TS3, and is one of the softest irons I've ever hit.  I'm not sure where the 'clicky' DBM opinion that I've read on here a decent amount comes from.

I'll yield that it could be that I have Nippon 1050GH shafts in the DBM and DG Mid 115 in the TS3.  Or it could be that I use Srixon Q Star Tour and Z Star balls, which are non-X, lower compression balls.  I have tried a lot of forged irons and I can't think of one that felt better or softer than the DBM.

Really interested in the ts4… played Mizuno MP59 in the past and currently Titleist 716AP2. I prefer to play 4-pw/gw in same set, no combos.

curious if anyone can get dimensions/sole comparisons of the 4 and 5 iron with any “name brand” irons. I love my Titleist 4 iron as I find it quite easy to hit whereas the MP59 takes a little more work.

@Popeye64I am just curious, are the swing weights the same for the three clubs?

They are within 3/4 of a swingweight. KE4 is the lowest, then TS1M then the TS4. When I ended my session with the TS1M I may have been worn out. The ball marks were from after the data collection was done and I was just screwing around. TS1M was the last club after an extra large bucket. But it did demonstrate the forgiveness level of that head.

They're about a half club shorter than my Mizuno Hot Metal 900's.

Probably asking an obvious question but did you account for the differences in loft? HM 900s 7 iron is 3 degrees stronger than DBM 7 iron. 31* 7 iron vs a 34* 7 iron and all that.

Keep an eye out, I will be listing a 6-8-PW TS4 DG S300 standard specs. They’ve only seen one range session, should have it all posted tonight when I get home from work.

Nothing wrong with these, clubs play great but I told myself no more hoing this year! Sticking with my i230 irons.

All I have to show you is the TS-4 vs my NL 623-CB. I also snagged my wife's G410, 4 I-Crossover for the last shot. A couple of the pics have the ruler to show measurements. Hope this helps! Just did the 4 iron as the 5 would yield the same looks / measurements.

Thanks for the pics, helpful. I just don’t like the longer looking heads seeing it next to your 623. Maybe my search continues for my 716 AP2 replacements🤷🏻‍♂️

I'm sure @5 O'Clock Charliecan better confirm, but having played some pretty butter knifey blades, the rest of the set outside of the 4 and maybe 5 don't appear long at all. Even the 4/5 really don't appear long except when put side by side with another club. Being shorter from top to bottom definitely helps hide the heel to toe length.

Keep in mind that these are fairly bladey looking irons that really do play like GI clubs so the extra length is a design function that makes a difference in playability AND isn't noticeable by themselves. Trust me, I've had a good share of admirers ask about the clubs and not 1 said "those look too long".

I went 5 thru G of the TS3, and 52/56/60 of the MaxMilled.  Worked with Kris at GolfWorks for the build... he was incredibly helpful and took amazing care of me and my requests.  Sent them ferrules, grips and a spec sheet and they did the rest.... to perfection.

A few rounds in and I'm loving em.  Moved to these from the z745s.  Couldn't be happier!   Thank you Kris, Britt, and all of the GolfWorks folks.

Have a putter build coming up soon,  as my quiver of putters and I are currently having relationship issues.  I'll definitely be going in the GolfWorks direction for that as well.

What a great looking setup! Not gonna lie, I'm heavily admiring those ferrules. I was considering some customs but just went with the chrome stripe when I did my build. Now I'm kinda kicking myself.

Thanks.   BB&F Laurentian Abyss.  Grabbed em many months ago anticipating a new 10 club build. I'm a green and blue fan, loved that each one is different but matching.

Curse you golfwrx.... I have a perfectly good set of TS2s, but reading @Popeye64's comments/reviews, I'm half tempted to  order a set of KE4 Max irons.  Is it me, or is the topline of the KE4s slightly thinner than the TS2s (actually prefer it thinner)?    I haven't been practicing/hitting the range in the past year or so, and my index is starting to slip a little (from ~4 to ~7).  It's mostly due to my 2-3/round big misses off the tee and the yips, but I can always blame the irons, right? Right???

The 623CB is very much a squat shape, plus the thin sole and thin top line of the TS4 will make the blade look longer. To me it looks similar in profile to the Bridgestone J40 DPC. I like the finish and clean look of it.

I’m considering adding a 19* KE4 Tour FDI to the bag. Anyone have input on what shaft to go with from the available paks (stiff flex)? I know shaft won’t influence it too much, but I’m someone who tends to add more loft at impact resulting in a very high ball. So if any lean towards lower flight, that would be better.

I guess finding a TS4 6 iron or something is what I need to do so I can check it out before buying a complete set.
