Yeah, I am waiting as well.  Noting that the 60^* aren't going to be here until August, I would bet the same for the 58^* S with the delays we saw on the DBM TS3&4.  The Tariffs are not helping either.  I did get a 54^* A grind for the sand wedge though.

One issue I'm seeing in the 56 is outlined in the pic, a little wiggle in the topline/fan area is showing, where the back weighting contours are showing very subtlety at address.

My question is does this also appear in the 58°A ?

I could not wait..  Have 54 and 58 in A-Grind to be shafted soon.    Considering a 50 degree in Gap..

 

Will just be wedge poor and build the S-grind next!!🤣

Popeye, you posted recently about the really high spin numbers from your DRT wedge in DBM finish. Is that from the DBM finish? If not, hiw different from the TSW wedges is the spin with the DRT?

Any of the DBM iron finishes will have a slightly better spin rate than the chrome versions. The chrome is ON the grooves. The DBM finish goes into the grooves structure. Leaving them essentially raw. 

The TSW DRM should have nearly identical spin rates as that is also a style of the DBM finish.  

But I'm not talking about a crazy difference in spin from DBM to Chrome.. but... Over time the DMB will hold up longer as the the surface is much harder and far less likely to dull.

These look really good. I have a set of UST Dart V shafts on the way to try with these. In the meantime, I threw a 950GH Wedge shaft into the DRT so I can play around with it Saturday. Not ideal, but the only shaft I had laying around.

Has anyone seen a predicted drop date on the new TS-UI utilities? I’m currently in a mild struggle with fairway woods which means it’s time for my near yearly “can I make a 2/3 iron work?” adventure. Fully aware that the answer is likely still no, maltby seems like a cheaper way to do it this time around while still getting something built to spec.

How much firmer does the DBM make the irons feel? Currently debating on TS3 DBM vs Regular. Also, is it true that DBM is harder to bend? I'd look to be going 3* flat on the lie angles.

Anybody with experience installing Recoil shafts? Bought a brand new .355 4 iron shaft and it needed a fair amount of sanding to fit into the TS3 head.

My two cents on the DRT wedges. I have the A grind in the 54* and 58* in the dbm finish. For some of you it MAY be a smart thing to wait until the S grind is available. After playing several rounds on tight bent fairways , for me the leading edge is a little protruding . If you like to lay your wedges open for certain shots, the A grind may not be for you. Out of the rough and bunkers the A grind is fine for me. The looks, feel and spin are very good. I’m probably going to order a 54  In the S grind when available.

What weight? The 90-105 are 355 and actually needed a bit of a shim when I installed them.

I just transplanted a set of Recoil 110 from Callaways into TS3's with no issue.  Other than I had to soft step them to keep the length the same.

I still have a set of Recoil 95 shafts that I haven't installed.  It's not just you, UST appears to use a fair amount of paint on them.

Saving for a wedding right now, the Fiancée would not be too pleased with that one.  Of couse I have been looking at it, but I want to see how my TS4 DBM gw performs before I go crazy with a wedge with the same loft.

 

Anybody ordered from the custom shop recently?  Is that trendline looking more like 7 days or 14 days for the build?  I just want to get them asap after my business trip on the 1st next month.

I got the fiancée into golf and we try to go out together once a week.  It's more about priority of money and where it is going.  Gotta make sure she feels valued too.  Happy wife, happy life right?  I could get her fit for irons and a new golf outfit and all would be forgiven.

 

Stu, since you have those beautiful DRT DBMs, how is the A grind in the 58?  I'm in Texas, and see you are in AZ so I am sure you experience the same Hardpan lies we do for 3/4 of the year.  I was going to wait on the shallow to have a variety of grinds in my wedges. I am feeling antsy about just completing the bag now and being happy with it.  Any issues being thin when you open up the face?  I do also suck alot more at golf than you do to be fair lol.

The DBM finish definitely makes them harder to bend.  The most I've been able to move them is 2*.

 

I would avoid trying for a 3* bend and go with the standard finish

I'm an accountant by day, so its basically all I do.  God bless her soul though, we set an agreement to get our degrees and buy a house before we got married.  We did accomplish that, but I feel for how long she had to wait for it (we were together almost 11 years before the engagement) lmao.  Been engaged for 2 years now, still working on putting everything together financially for our wedding (Greek and Hispanic families are large).  Golf was just something to get us out of the house after covid.  Spent way too much time gaming (together thankfully).
