I would not bet the Niners line think 8.5 is perfect opener. I think 9-7 would be a good year 10-6 great, 8-8 disappointing. All on board the Jimmy G train. Hey at the last year I was prepping for a 2 win season so this is a nice change.

Bears v. Ravens in the Hall of Fame game tonight. I know , I know, it's not the real deal. It is pro football though now isn't it?!

It will be interesting to see RG Me under center to start the game for the Ravens. It has been a good bit of time since the Baylor QB took a

snap in a NFL game. This Skins fan is so glad he is gone. lol

Ian Heller Tom Brady is the GOAT. He exudes class. While many other players would have threw these nobodies under the bus Brady took the hit and dealt with the consequences. People call him the Golden Boy as an insult but this guy is motherfucking American Dream. He didn’t have pedigree. He wasn’t drafted 1st overall. He wasn’t overhyped. He was nobody who worked his a** off to be one if the best athletes in any sport we’ve ever seen.

Falcon for life right here. I truly thought this might be the year...? But I believe that Julio’s antics willl set the team back. The Falcon curse is good year/bad year...we were making a bit of a push and then Julio does this......three TDs and the most drops in the NFL last year AND now he wants more money...AND he got it.

 

Atl has a BIG problem this year.

I gave mine up a few years back. Got tired of feeling like a slave to the TV on Sundays because I was paying extra for it. Literally 12 hours of football games starting at 9am or 10am once the rest of the country hits daylight savings time and not ending SNF finished usually after 9pm. Plus i still think the on field product quality has decreased. I really really wish they had individual team sunday ticket. I mean I would most definitely pay $50-$100 bucks to watch all of SF games.

I agree with the above. All I care about is my Atlanta Falcons. I track my fantasy teams on CBS Sports... I could do that anywhere.

 

I have a very lackluster excitement about the upcoming season. NFL's rules are making it hard to watch. Its football not, flag football.

All I care about is redzone. Since I have directv I have to buy the whole thing to get it. I have been a huge 49ers fan my whole life but since they moved 50 miles away I don't seem to care as much. The stadium used to be a quick train ride away and now its at 4 hour drive in traffic, 100$ to park and tickets are 4x as much. Candlestick had character too, it was a pile but was actually in the city the team was named after (almost).

 

I feel really bad for raiders fans. I have no idea how not having a NFL stadium north of Santa Clara in the 5th biggest market makes any sense. There is a really big North/South divide in the bay area around Hayward or so. No one from the city or North/East bay will go that far south for a football game.

I totally agree, Candlestick was mecca. It was a total dump, but everything about it was awesome to me and it was a total experience even beyond the game, I loved every time I went to there. Heartbreaking how the whole new stadium deal broke apart back in the day and ultimately ended up in Santa Clara but Levi's is amazing in its own right. Though its totally sterile, randomly dumped in Great America's parking lot and lacks the rough and tumble feel the Stick did, its still an awesome stadium in itself. Super high tech, great sight lines, good food/amenities good space between seats and some other perks. Ultimately Im there to be with my family, other fans, and see my guys and we have zero say in all the crap and tug and war when it came to relocation/new stadium so it is what it is.

 

Very curious to see wants going to happen to the gaggle of Oakland fans, and how that all shakes out once they move. That final game this year at Levis against the Raiders is going to be a war (in the stands too lol).

Everything about Candelstick sucked, but it was the greatest dump ever. I loved that place. Something eerily mystical about it between the history and some of the epic moments that took place on that field. Either that or it was just the fumes from sewage back up :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy: The city really really F'd up not getting a stadium deal done to keep them in SF. The team was trying to get it done as far back as the 90's when I lived there, so I cannot really fault the team for the move the city really messed it up.

 

 

I hate Levi Stadium. There is no reason for me to hate it. I mean it is nice modern and all that good stuff, but it is way too sterile

On another note Colin Cowherd is the most negative guy on sports tv, he never says anything good about anyone.

Dak and the starters looked good on the first drive of the game, wrs looked good and that is gonna be the biggest question mark heading into the season.

Cowherd used to be a unique voice among the robots at ESPN. Now he is a negative "hot take" gimmick at FSN. I used to listen to him daily and I just can't anymore
