Mizuno MP 18 blades vs Titleist 718 CB

I was wondering if anyone here has played both of these irons. I currently have a combo set of MP 18s SC and blades. I also have 718 CB 2 iron. I absolutely love the 2 iron but the look at address is rather compact with a thinner top line thank the SC's. I have been toying with the idea about making my MP 18s a full set of blades 4-pw. Do you think the mp 18 blades would match the top line of the 718 cb's better? I could go to a golf store and compare but I can't find the MB long irons to compare. Thanks a bunch!

Just made the switch

 

Had mp18 mb 4-Pw with Ctaper 120s that I was fit for

 

Just traded them for 716 Tmb 4/5 and 716 cb 6-Pw with amt x100’s.

 

I liked the mp18 but the cb just feel softer to me and more forgiving (duh) and the cb feel great through the turf.

 

I would like to try the x100 in the mp18 as I feel it would be alittle better as I can feel the head better with them.

 

The 18’s are sweet don’t get me wrong I just like the cb a little better for me.

I would say they are pretty close in size all around.

Thanks Kale! I actually had the opposite experience with the 716s. I wanted a set since they first came out. Finally got a set and built them the same way I bad my MP 18s done and just didn't like the feel. They felt good but not Mizuno good. Feel and beauty are so subjective! Haha! Now that 718 cb 2 iron, that thing feels sooooo darn good! I can't tell the difference in feel from that and the MP's.

Does anyone happen to have a MP 18 blade and a 718 CB they could post some side by side pics of? Specifically the top line and faces?

I tested the CB's the MB's (from Titleist) against the MP18 blades and I was disappointed with the MP18's. Don't get me wrong I have played many Mizuno blades, I had the MP68's in my bag for many years and always enjoyed hitting the MP4's.

I found the Mizuno too big for my liking and although when I hit them, yes they felt great I just don't want my irons to look that big, for me that's a personal thing, I hit the sweet spot more often with clubs a little smaller than the MP18's.

Even though I love blades dearly the CB's were a set that really impressed me and if I was splashing the cash they would be my choice.

 

Worth testing as many options as you can side by side and also hitting them from grass, subtle sole differences/grinds could make a massive difference to you.

I had a set of mp18 blades before my current 718s. Top lines are similar, and both are pretty slim. The ground interaction on the 718s were much better for me than the mp18s.

Thanks for the reply! That's what I was thinking. I have the 7-pw already in the MP 18 blades. Going to add the 4-6 with a 718 CB 2 iron that I already have. I originally got it to blend with my sc, blade combo but the top line on the sc's make my 2 iron look tiny! Hoping the blades blend better.
