I think it'll take another poor performance in the near future for the switch to happen.

 

That bomb on 18 at the PGA is still probably pumping him up. That putt was his biggest affirmation of still being relevant as any other moment so far.

 

Edit: I've often wondered this, does TW or Joe use the ever popular green maps/books, wondering if it might offer conflicting info, thus screwing with any and all visual reads?

TM will hire the guy who designs balls for b stone who used to design balls for Nike to work for them. Then he will have a tp5xs Which will be same ball he plays now wit tmag logo.

I putted the ball poorly the last two times I played. I Better get on BST immediately and find a putter that works.

 

....it doesn’t matter that last weekend I shot an even par 72 with it. It obviously has broken since then.

 

2 types of GolfWRX members:

The putter isn't the problem. The guy holding it is having trouble seeing his lines. He switched from the Cameron because he wasn't making putts. Now he's contemplating switching from the TM because he's not making putts. Common denominator.... he's not putting well no matter what is in his hands. He's not going to solve his problem with a putter change. It could be his reads, his alignment, his setup, or his stroke... but it's not the putter at this point.

Well, the scotty has had some time in the corner to think about being a better putter , we will see if scotty makes more putts, or spends more time in the corner, watching the TM take over its job.... lol's

He hasn't putted poorly all year though. He putted very well at the PGA Championship.

 

I think he would agree with you that it's not the putter. He said he feels the grooved face rolls it a little better. But changing putters doesn't mean he thinks it's the putter's fault. He's just looking for a fresh look like all of us do from time to time.

 

I'm sure he is also working on his alignment, etc. otherwise he wouldn't hit putt after putt on the practice green. There's no other reason to do that except if you are working on your setup, stroke, etc.
