While it would be an interesting possibility, It's doubtful that he will win all the playoffs and East lake. But if he did, he would have 5 wins on the year and even though it normally would be difficult to over take 2 majors, I think this would do the trick.

Brooks definitely lets his clubs do the talking, seems pretty laid back and certainly is not one to ham it up with the other cheeseballs his age which may give the impression of being an outcast.

 

I would agree with your take on Bryson. Probably why he and Tig gravitate toward each other.

 

It seems as if Bryson has gone from being seen as just a bit gimmicky to commanding respect in no time at all. I can appreciate the fact that he is pretty hot right now, but the guy has tons of talent and an extra gear or so with the driver that we only see a few times a rd.

 

PGA way < Masters, US Open, Open...so makes things closer than it should be if Bryson continues to run the table but still gotta give it to Brooksy.

+1. He could sit out next week and still be seeded number 1 for the tour championship. Isn't this what the PGA wanted with the whole FedEx Cup? These tournaments are supposed to count for something.

This discussion certainly shows how folks value the POY-very similar to the MVP talk in baseball. In baseball is it the most valuable player or the player with the best stats? That whole discussion becomes based on "can you be most valuable on a losing team?". In golf it is the same thing. If Koepka wins it is not a player of the year. It is showing you value two weeks-and a very historic two weeks at that- over a superior body of work in the 2018 season should Bryson win these last two events.

Let me rephrase: any non major combo of 3,4,5,6,7,8 wins and even winning the FED EX CUP and even winning the last 8 events in a row < 2 majors in same year.
