Lol. Good luck with that. No two Mizuno fanboys can agree on which Grain Flow Mizuno feels good. If it's not an MP64 or 33, it's s*** on a stick.

That's where you're wrong. . . . . MP 53s are the best! Hahaha.

Back on topic though, I would play a Titleist iron if they had a proper forged offering.

Played 18 holes with 716 AP2s a while back and I'm just not a fan of multi-material irons.

No your wrong mp32 irons are the best haha. But I have to say I can't wait to try out the ts3 driver. I have always been a Titleist driver guy. They feel great and look amazing. I have a 909d3 in the bag right now and it's still just as long as anything out there today. When I look at a Titleist driver or fairway wood it just puts alot of confidence that I know I am going into hit it well.

I can tell you if you like what Titleist drivers bring to the table; you’re going to bust a nut when you test out the TS models. All the good of previous models but legitimately as long as anything else out. Will be longer for plenty. Shaft offerings are legit as well. Rogue is out of the bag as of yesterday and TS2 is in. Enjoy.

Interesting! Golf ball sales are up, even with all the direct to consumer golf ball makers in the mix. It seems like there is a new one popping up each month... and yet Titleist is still on the rise. I wonder if golf is on the rise, correlating with Tiger’s reemergence.

Tiger is back = make golf great again!

I was in a golf store hitting Mizuno 33, and 67, then picked up the original Nike Blades. I swear there was no difference in feel. They all felt great. Grain flowed or not, blades are blades.

I think the muscle design, shaft and grip have a lot more to do with it than the forging process.

I've never played any other Titleist irons, but I'm really happy with my 718 AP2's at the moment. Also have to add even though its not an iron, My 818 H2 hybrid is my absolute favorite club to hit that is in my bag.

All the companies are good now, they all offer some great gear. I venture out from time to time but when I want to get back to consistency and playing good golf, for me, I find it's always with Titleist gear. It just suits my eyes best I think. I will say, very limited time with the TS3 right now, but man, I am REALLY impressed. The AP2 have been the benchmark for players CB for a while but I think with the latest 716/18 CB, they are really onto something great with irons... Now if Scotty Cameron could just get his head out of his a** and offer what people are really looking for and clean up the service a little bit, I think top to bottom Titleist is tough to beat.

$$$ in sales does not always corelate to more sales or larger market share. Considering the price increase for gear from all manufacturers recently, higher $$$ in sales would seem to be in line with the market.

What would be interesting to see in the next few years is if the total number of club sales across the manufacturers is higher or lower with this new pricing model.

There stuff is decent and tends not to break. For me, the ball is still the best on the market. I haven’t hit the new driver yet (can’t say I am that in to the look of it) but after being caught out big time by the other OEM’s in the past few years it sounds like they have something to offer.

It’s m not surprised bag sales are down, I hate mine, it’s truly awful.

So it's clear the reply to the original phrase was meant tongue in cheek but it is important to stress an irrefutable fact - if it's not the MP64 or MP33 it is s*** on a stick. Look it up - it's in the Geneva Convention.

As a guy who's played Titleist and Mizuno almost exclusively since the mid 90s, I actually prefer the feel of Titleist. Anything MB or players CB feels fine from the middle but all Mizuno clubs (including the iconic MP-64 which I loved) have a very steep drop-off to the point even a playable miss feels harsh. I'm all for being robbed the satisfaction and pleasure of a pure shot when you miss a little but stop short of a completely playable miss inflicting wrist and elbow torture.

There is no doubt that Titleist is a firmer feel but you still get precise feedback. Moreover, you can damn near miss outside the grooves before it becomes "harsh" (or at least that what a friend tells me...).

Saw the TS2 and TS3 yesterday. Not sure about TS3, looks a bit intimidating but the TS2 sat great. And simple looks, no gimmicks. What really impressed me was the fairways woods, the 16.5 and 18 look fantastic.

I hit a demo TS3 w/ Hzrdus smoke S shaft last week. It was a lower more penetrating flight than my Rogue SZ with Hzrdus Yellow XS shaft. The added roll put it 15 yds longer on a dry day

First of all, everyone knows the correct answer is......MP-14!

Now that that is out of the way, I saw the TS2 and TS3 for the first time yesterday. If you check my signature, you will see I am a Titleist guy.

I make that statement as a disclaimer before stating that I wasn’t thrilled with either one, and I was certain I would be picking up a TS3 as soon as they are released.

I have a 905R that I am currently bagging in place of my 917 D3 after a couple of bad driving rounds, so I love Titleist drivers. I know I have given up a few yards over the last few years, but I am long enough to do so in consideration of the look and sound of Titleist drivers.

My issue......the TS2 just looked odd to me (like the D2’s), and more surprisingly I thought the TS3 was a great shape, but huge!

I compared the TS3 with a D3 and there is a noticeable difference in the two. in fact, I grabbed a TM M3 440 and compared it to the TS3 and D3 and definitely preferred to look of the D3 and the M3 440.

I have not hit the TS3 yet, so everything is of course subject to change.

For now, I’m pretty happy with what I’ve got!

Personally I like the AP2's, "like" the feel. Does it feel good at impact? "Yes". Is it the best feeling ever, maybe not, but I'll take the added forgiveness of the Tungsten over a 1 piece Mizzy MP forging any day, everyday,

Glad to hear Titleist is doing well this year, and seems with the TS line it will being doing even better. as far as the ball market maybe the whole "straight to consumer" companies have ran there course (besides maybe like Snell, and a few others are starting to stand out more than the initial bum rush of small companies).

Just a though without any evidence to back it up.

I happen to like the ap2s I just got as well. Granted I've never played a true mb. But have experience with other forged irons. Mp59s and j36 pocket cavities. The 716 ap2s feel firmer for sure. But still really good when struck pure. Also I dont play a super firm ball. Currently z stars and q stars in the winter. And testing the avx. I have a feeling I'll be playing the ap2 till the wear down to nubs.

Naturally opinions are all over the place but I have the latest Players 4 bag and love it. I do think it’s a bit odd they don’t put the bag on a 2 year cycle like their equipment. At least I don’t think they do, I could be wrong. I understand people upgrading clubs routinely, but bags? How often to people really buy a new bag? I bought the Players 14 a couple years ago because I thought I would like having separate compartments but hated it and still didn’t get a new bag for a couple years.

For what it’s worth, I have always played some combination of Titleist and Mizuno and never cared for the feel of the AP2s. The CBs are vastly underrated in my opinion.

I’m sure this is in a separate post, but the new proto irons... are these the Titleist version of the 790s? Look similar in the one picture I’ve seen. Would be interesting.
