I have heard it may be a four piece ball, but if it is a four piece ball like the prov1x or the nike platinum, I don't know. I plan on cutting one in half to find out. Also the cover is a somewhat off white color, like the old balatas. The balls I have feel & sound similar to the current HX tour.

It is the 'C' above Callaway. They used that same design balls several years ago.

I think you might be guessing :) The hx tour was never released with the old logo.

Plain wrapper sleeve they use on tour. It allows players under contrat to use someone else's balls without reprecussions. And I also think it's an old ball.

I don't remember that logo on a Hx Tour ball. The last time I remember that logo was on the old CTU 30 (that was a sweet ball). Looks new to me.

Looks like the Hyper ERC ball from Japan. It's got the Hex pattern with dimple-in-dimple. But the 4-piece technology is in this ball, not the Hyper ERC.

The original HX Tours had a logo that looked exactly like that. It was the "look" of the previous generation HX red and blue and the prototypes were simply done in black when first rolled out on tour. I still have a couple of them, when introduced to retail they were the same ball but had their current cosmetics.

Is everyone else seeing the same thing I am? It says HX Tour 2, which to me would mean that it's the new version of it. They probably threw the old logo on for giggles or to mix it up.

i recently receiced a box of hx-tour x outs for a birthday and two of these balls was included. same lettering but with the xxx out. dont know if this means anything towards yours but they were labeled the same.

I just dug one of the old ones out that I still have. It has the same HX Tour.2 with the same arrows on the ends. These look exactly like the original HX Tour prototypes.

Hmmmm.......that's the exact same side stamp marking (HX Tour 2) that the original prototypes had years ago, with the old logo and everything. Are you sure you haven't been given / stumbled across the several year old protos?

I don't have any pics but that is definately an old ball. My father-in-law had a few in his shag bag about 3 years ago. Plus, do you really think Cally would put the old Cally logo on a new tour ball with all of the money they have tied up in the current one?

Exactly what I was going to say. And from a sales point of view, I think the old Callaway logo was quite ugly in comparison to the new logo - and if a company has gone away from a logo, why would they go back to it, they just would redesign a new one.
