King Forged CB(black) vs King Forged / Fly-Z+ irons

Currently play the Fly-Z+ and just want a new look as they're getting pretty beat. How do the full set of the King CB's compare? I'm thinking they have to be very similar but they are now impossible to find in stores. Between those and the King Forged it seems like they have two sets very close to each other. Not talking about the Tec Black either, didn't like those.

to put them on Titleist scale, the King CB is CB and Forged Tour is the AP2. The Forged Tour is also the newer rendition of your Fly Z+, they're basically the same with cosmetic changes. I prefer the Fly Z+ myself over the Forged Tour.

The new CB should come out soon with white accent instead of orange, but that's about the only change......

If you strike your irons very well, I would go with the CBs, if you're playing your best golf with Fly Z+ then just get newly fitted Forged Tour and off you go

The CBs are a players iron on the classic level of Maltby scale. Very small, compact and not forgiving. The Forged Tour are the updated version of your current set but I believe they added CNC machined grooves this go round. The Fly Z+ and Forged Tour are closer to a game improvement iron like the AP2, Apex CF16, JPX900F, and TM P770. I just ordered the Forged Tour in ONE length to give it a try as my son plays the AMP Forged and they are a sweet iron. Basically goes: AMP Forged, Fly Z+, Forged Tour and I would expect another update in a month or so.

I thought the CB’s were some of the best CB’s I’ve ever hit.. the MB’s were too.

A little less forgiving than your Fly-Z+, but not by a long shot, and they feel much better. They’re an all around great stick!

Ok thanks, any difference on shot height? If I blindly buy a set I'm just trying to figure out if I stick with the same shafts I'm playing in the Z+

Slightly different in loft the CBs are 1 degree weaker so keep that in mind, they also have some tungsten weights so overall it’s about the same, the head size is smaller.

Picked a set of Fly-Z+ irons to play with. I really like them and i have to agree with andrieddle. They are Cobras version of the AP2. Great clubs though for me being the idiot i am i would think "ohh these have some forgiveness so you can swing them harder". It didnt work out for me and im sticking to the MBs which force me to concentrate a tad more while swinging instead of hitting. Fly-Z+ are GREAT clubs and you really cant go wrong with them specially now since you can get a set in really nice shape for an even better price.
