Tour AD BB - What's up with this? Anything similar but better?

I have a serious question regarding the Graphite Design Tour AD BB shaft, that was introduced/reviewed on here 5 years ago.

 

Back then they were the "unicorn" of exotic shafts. I was fit perfectly into one, but couldn't justify the $$$, so went another direction. Now that it's 5 years later, I still see that many places are still selling these @ +$300. If it still fits me (not sure), would I be smart to pony up $300 for a 5 year old shaft, or is there something in a more vanilla flavor (cost) that would deliver similar results? I'm currently playing an Aldila Rip Alpha, but don't get the same effortless "feel" from it - have to really go after it to get results I like. Also tinkering with a Fubuki Tour Alpha, and like the results, but don't know anything about the "profile" (plus it's cut down to 3W length, so contact is good but very light in FEEL although a little short in distance). Want to find a driver shaft I can trust without breaking the bank, but maybe I've already found it, or maybe there is no such thing?

 

The closest I came was purchasing one off eBay, but luckily discovered it was a counterfeit before I fit it to an adapter. Got my money back no questions asked, but made me shy of trying another one of these off the bay. Where does one go to "demo" a $300 5 year-old shaft?

I bought mine earlier this year and has been my best equipment purchase in the past 3-5 years. I expect to be using this shaft for a long time. I really suggest you drop the money on one knowing you are going to love it. Its always worth the investment if you know its something that you like hitting. It is hard to find something you like, nobody likes taking a shot in the dark if a fitting center isnt within your budget nonetheless a place that offers aftermarket shafts.

Isn’t the Tensei Pro white a very similar profile ?

Tensei Pro White, but you're going to be at roughly the same cost as the AD BB. Another worth taking a look at would be the Diamana D+ and Diamana D+ LTD there's deals to be had on those.

I love my BB. I happened up on it at a PGA SS where they were selling off all their demo cart shafts. I was able to get it for $180 with a tip. As the above poster said, I also like the Diamana LTD. It was the shaft I came from and I previously had good success with the Tensei Pro White. Still, there is just something that little bit better for my swing with the BB. Its a good investment for sure.

Not even close, completely different profile. Check their shaft chart on their website. GP is a beast in their X/tx flex and the firmest shaft in their lineup even more than 9003

I picked up a BB for about $175 earlier this year on ebay. Defintely have to watch out for fakes, but if you look for a reputable seller, they're out there at a major discount. Mine was as good as new.

Proclubs on ebay is selling new ones for 180. Pretty sure they are legit. At least I hope so, I've picked up a couple of AD MTs from them and if they are fakes they are incredibly good fakes.

eBay, WTB Forum, or BST Forum I assure you can locate an AD BB with the tip you need for $150-$175.

Thanks, and I mean that! I don't even need the tip/adapter, but don't want to spend +/- $200 on something that is apparently readily faked. I'd almost rather have a "Legit" clean pull without the tip than a shaft that is already tipped/prepped and installed into an adapter so I have a chance to inspect (if that makes any sense?) And I'm not about to post an ad on the WTB and have 50 guys offering to sell me something not even remotely close to what I ask for - been there, done that! I realize that cuts my buying options down by about a fourth, but not going down that route again.
