Best indoor mat with launch monitor spin and no injury

Looking for best indoor mat that is large enough to fit a foresight quad next to the hitting area. Looking for mat that doesn't cause pain on daily long term use for down and through shots. Also looking for mat that doesn't effect spin on launch monitor and allows you to compress the ball.

 

I have truestrike but that hitting area is warn. Option is by new mat or replace hitting area strip. Just looking for best option for LM performance and health due to daily use.

 

I do not want to hear about country club elite. Looks nice but too many discussions on daily long term use causing health concerns.

 

Any feedback on truestrike relative to launch monitors? It seems like you can compress the ball with some forgiveness of the divot.

 

Any feedback on fiberbuilt relative to launch monitors? If this is the hard bristles I see that it would be easy on the body but don't see how you can compress the ball against the turf. Any feedback?

 

I also see Dura Pro but that looks very similar to Country Club Elite with wood tee and small backing. If you use it want to know about long term daily use with health and LM spin comparisons.

I have a Fiberbuilt Mat and +1 on the injury prevention. There are days where I hit 100+/day and no stress on the joints. I have seen others talk about the LM performance and say it's miles ahead of the Truestrike. Best mat out there imo but am biased since I dropped $1k on a mat a year ago :golfer:

this looks to be the thick bristled matt. How do you compress the golf ball against that? What LM are you using?

He's right, the ball is compressed against the club face. A golf ball is far too hard to compress against soft grass. The biggest difference between mats and grass is the resulting spin. I seems to get better spin numbers with my fiberbuilt mat, I'd get lower spin with my cheaper all turf mat.

proper technique. my dad has a skytrack and fiberbuilt and I have no problem hitting them. only issue i have is my 3 wood and driver ball speeds severly slower on skytrack than on tm, but its fine for my dad and his speed.

I got one from groturf Illinois (they ship) $250, and zero pain, if you chunk it you chunk it, and reads are pure.

That of course is true, but I've hit off mats so hard that if you catch it just a touch fat, the club head bounces off the mat, which would affect the numbers.

Regardless what you call it the spin is different across different mats. I have an older DWqual mat that will need to be replaced because I am using it for my chipping area and an older truestrike where the hitting pad is now time to replace or replace the mat. You get different spins. I have hit of thick bristled mats and they feel like flyer lies but have't measured them on the LM. If you are not using indoor trackman at the right dimensions for spin or a foresight quad it doesn't matter but I am. They do spin differently.

All mats typical spin lower than real grass, but the fiberbuilt is pretty good for me. They may feel like flyers because you don't have the thud, but in my experience the fiberbuilt is better than most mats in terms of not having too low of spin. I can get 6-7k rpm full 7 irons and almost 10k with wedge. Ocassionally get very low spin shots which I typically just ignore.

I did the diy divot action as well,my main issue is on slightly fat shots. In that case the ball moves down with the surface and it's easier to skull them, which can get a bit hairy hitting indoors with balls already in the net.
