Florida Golf Resort Recommendations

Travel experts.... lend me your ear!

 

Planning my 2020 Golf Pilgrimage and I'm targeting Florida. I've been to Myrtle, Arizona twice, and most recently Cabot Cliffs / Links.

 

Florida has so much to offer.. it's almost overwhelming!

 

I've played a few rounds here and there (Disney, St. Augustine) but I'm looking for a resort with multiple courses for a 4 day getaway.

 

Right now Streamsong has really caught my eye... but I'm open to other ideas. Reunion, Championsgate, etc.

 

So please, fire me your recommendations for a 4 day trip idea with amazing golf, nice accommodations, and good food and drink. We won't be doing much else aside from golf golf golf. Fly in 18-36-36-18 fly home kinda deal.

 

Also let me know about booking... did you use something like golfzoo or do it yourself via the resort.

A lot depends on your budget. If Streamsong is on the table, it's going to be hard to do better than that - a terrific place. You'll walk with caddies and it'll be all the golf you can handle. Plus, that schedule will enable you to play each course twice, which will get you much more familiar with them than if you were to just play a place once and then move on.

 

Places like Reunion, PGA Village, PGA National, Hammock Beach, Innisbrook, Tiburon are also on the table, probably another level less expensive.

Streamsong is great, if you're 100% invested in a golf-only vacation. It's in the middle of nowhere.

 

Same goes for the 'World Golf Hall of Fame' in St. Augustine.

Streamsong looks reasonable in the shoulder season or just after it. Sure wish my Canadian dollar was worth more then .75c down there!

I haven’t been to Streamsong, but it looks great. If you want a little variety, you could fly to Tampa and play Innisbrook before heading to Streamsong. Innisbrook is not a typical Florida course.
