Ireland Tour opeators?

Just booked flights to Dublin as a single and won't drive there, thus I'm going to go through a tour company. Want this lineup so any suggested tour operators out there? Thanks

Courses in Ireland are so much easier to book directly than some of the big names in Scotland. If you’re adamant about not driving, perhaps you you could avoid a markup by booking your own rounds and then finding a car hire.

I was part of a large group (26 golfers) last summer. We used PerryGolf. Our drivers took great care of us.

 

Since you’ll be playing courses in Northern Ireland and Ireland, Pounds and Euros are needed. And because of Brexit, they might not have open borders when you go. I don’t know how big of a deal that would be. But the locals didn’t sound to happy about the prospect.

P.S. Since the courses that you are playing are on opposite ends, did you consider departing (or arriving) using the Kerry or Cork airports? Pretty sure both have international flights. Although I connected through Heathrow

Update......found a buddy to come along who would drive. Really don't need a tour company if you have transportation I have found.

If you're going to stay north of the Shannon for your last day (seems logical if you're looking at Doonbeg), you might want to look at Lahinch as an option. More history, probably a little less expensive, and a really good course.

I agree. Doonbeg is a nice course, but Lahinch is definitely more memorable.

Yeah, playing Doonbeg is a pretty dang good second choice if the first choice isn't really a choice. Have fun, and have a pint of the black stuff thinking os us. There ARE more good pubs in Lahinch than in Doonbeg. I like the 19th.

Update...... going to try and drive from RCD after our 730 am tee time to play a twilight at Lahinch the same day as it is the only option to play it. It is off mats as well, but worth it IMO to experience Lahinch.

Having a little trouble following this. but if you're up in the RCD area, stay there and play Ardglass (30 mins away) and forget going down to European Club. There are SO many to substitute (imho). What about Tralee, Waterville in the Ballybunion area.

Just go north from Dublin, play Baltray/County Louth on the way to RCD. Stay in town and play Portmarnock.

Just forget European Club. You want to play real links courses, not manufactured ones.

Just saw this and forgot to update. We did it. We actually had a problem with a rental car and swtiched on our way through Dublin again, but managed to tee off and finish in the dark 18 at Lahinch on the same day. Yes optomistic, but it was doable. So glad to do it.
