Any specific reason for choosing these 3 models, Claus?

Where is the FT-5 or the D2 for that matter?

cheers,

Søren

I'm not the one buying these, just made the poll for a friend, who considerr buying one of them.

Neither the D2 nor the FT-5 are considered among the most forgiving straightest drivers for the mid capper.

Juts wanted to make a poll with the 3 MOI contenders (these 3 and the Nike Square driver are the hot MOI drivers at the moment)

Picked up an FTi 9.5 Tour a couple of weeks ago and it is the best driver I have ever hit. It has given me the most confidence over the ball. Demo'd the D1 and I remeber it having the same feel of confidence with it allowing me to swing freely and on plane. Ended up with square and couldn't be happier.

I Have not hit the Burner.

well i've tried them all and although i personally don't use it,in my opinion i must say the burner tp is tops. but like anything else i must change the shaft.

There you have it :clapping:

Almost no driver can be tested with shafts other than the retail shafts - so it's hard for avid golfers to test a driver with different shafts installed, in fact almost impossible. You have to take a good guess and hope you like i.e. a Diamane White board shaft if you buy the driver with that particular shaft installed.

It's too expensive for retail golf shops to have each driver with a variety of shafts installed.....although it would be great to be able to test each driver head with 5-6 different shafts installed - it's only a select few that have this luxury of testing a driver head with more than two or three different shafts installed black%20eye.gif

BTW - what the heck.....is that a Nickent driver in your bag, Soren :cheesy:

How is it performing for you ?

I consider buying a couple of Nickent 4DX hybrid irons - but not the driver.......yet :clapping:

And I see you also got the FT-5 Tour. What happened to your SuperQuad Tp driver - I thought you loved it :cheesy:

How is the FT-5 Tour up against the SuperQuad TP for you and what about the old R5 Tp and the Nickent driver - let's hear it ?

Yeah, the SQ TP didn't make it and it has found a new home...too much spin (weird) leading to no-rollout on the course. And I really couldn't get used to the black face - I like to see traditional metal-coloured face.

Tried a Nickent 4DX T-spec and same in the D-spec and flew them reeaally well ;) also measured on the Trackman.

In fact, I have a D-spec 10.5 on the way

Took a FT-5 tour / YS6+ with me (also flew that one very well on the Trackman) on the course yesterday and hit ALL fairways. The sound kills me, but You can't argue with the results - this driver is good :cheesy:

So - I think my old R5 TP is feeling the sweat down the back right now - but I am still undecided and need further sessions with the contenders!

cheers,

Søren

Manufacturers are getting better in this regard. Ping is pretty good and TaylorMade's new optifit cart is also a step in the right direction.
