My clear favorite is Brooks Koepka because he is clearly taking advantage of the fact that attitude is everything (trying to intimidate like Tiger of old). If BK falter then let it be Rory, Jordan or Dustin Thomas. No more one offs please in the major tournaments....

It’s not like golf is the player vs player and one of them can step up the level of intensity as they battle the other guy. They may not even be in the same tee time wave. It’s eaxh guy against the course.

First time major winners especially someone like Rickie is good for golf.

It would be nice seeing Dustin Thomas win. But I thought he already won a PGA? Personally I’m pulling for Bill Mickelson and we want another Big Cat victory.

My wife calls him Dustin Justin, he's her favorite golfer.. That said I'm rooting for DJ to stop placing second or for Sneds to sneak one in there.

If there is one person I sincerely hope DOESN'T WIN it is that cheapskate Kuchar. I can't stand the guy after his shenanigans as of late.

You knock it off with the facts in this thread! We all know this is no place for them.

He only seems to play two rounds these days so I guess a hybrid of DJ and JT makes it better haha.

The only reason people want Koepka to win is because he's been dominant as of late. I bet the same people who "don't want first time winners" didn't want Koepka to win that US Open in 2017, right? But now you want him to win because he's gotten it done several times. Golf is full of fair weather fans. Everyone has to start somewhere. I thought Woodland's win was great and he deserved every bit of it. He played the best of anyone out there and has been knocking on the door a long, long time.

Woodland, Raptors, Blues, all great victories with people/teams that were definitely underdogs who worked their tails off get it done.

Yup. Tiger and jack had to be first time winners to get to their dominance

liked him..gotten too cocky... and nothing bothers him..except...everything bothers him. Having said that., 2nd , 1st, 2nd says a lot for his golf game. Lose the attitude though. A few putts here and there he would have 3 majors in a row going for the slam next month.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that. People want to watch things that are historically great. Whether it's Tiger, or a guy winning 3 consecutive US Opens. I'm happy for Gary but we're guys win consecutive US Opens every 20+ years and actually get themselves in contention even less than that so yes I wanted Koepka to win because it's unlikely we'll see a guy get that chance again. Doesn't mean that Gary's win isn't a great story.
