Looking for Callaway FT Tour Driver replacement

I've been playing the FT Tour for around 8 years now. I've been through 4 or 5 of them due to head cracking issues, and I'm finally ready to move on. I've played the FT Tour because of how open it is at address, and it's helped me essentially eliminate left misses off the tee.

 

I'm looking for something similar now... low spin that will help me eliminate the left miss. I've tried the M1 440, which I hit extremely well, but I miss it left more than I'd like.

 

Is there anything similar to the FT Tour out there these days? It doesn't have to be brand new, maybe anything within the last 3 years.

If you want to stick w/ Callaway, the Epic Flash Sub Zero Triple Diamond was designed to have fade bias which should help you with the left side miss. The new Ping G410 LST lays wide open at address which sounds like it would suit your eye.

I played a Tour Issue FT-5 LCG 10.5° from 2008 through 2014. Primarily for all the reasons you pointed out in reference to your FT Tour.

 

 

When I finally decided that I was ready to move on I went through a number of Drivers (side note, I wanted to stay Callaway)....

 

 

* Tour Issue 816DBD 10.5° .... Nope, knew it right away.

* Tour Issue XR16 Sub Zero 9.5° .... Initially, it worked, but quickly thereafter made its exit.

* Japan Epic Forged 10.5° .... Very, very nice, excels in many categories, would still be in the bag as gamer, BUT along came ...

 

 

* Theee ... EPIC FLASH!! *

9.5° with HZRDUS Smoke Black and I have finally found the long term successor to the FT-5 LCG.

 

 

GO. HIT. ONE.

 

Find somewhere you can hit all 3. Standard, Sub Zero and the Triple Diamond. Odds are, you will find your FT-Tour replacement from one of the three heads.

Funny to read this thread as I’ve been holding on to three LH 9.5° FT-Tours and I’ve decided to trade two of them in and just keep one with the Kai’li in it. Best combination of control and distance I had hit for a long time. Still better control than my EFSZ but tough to give away 7-10 mph of ball speed depending on strike. The FT-Tour with the x-con 6 was a bomber but could get a bit loose at times and I never really got along with the voodoo but kept it around just for the head. Driver was way ahead of its time.
