My souvenirs are ball markers (1 mondo and 1 small or plastic poker chip), plus any divot tool I think is classy/useful ... one of the guys on the trip made the copper ‘Scotland 19’ that has my name on the back ... my fav are the copper north Berwick marker and the Dornoch divot tool, though I birdied the postage stamp hole and really like that specific marker ... extremely disappointed in Muirfield ... looks like something on a wedding invitation ...

I might have a few of those same ones in the drawer. For me anyways, the small ballmarkers are the easiest thing to pick up for a keepsake... well also the easiest to misplace.

I’m a fan of the big markers with the small ball marker in the middle. I scoop those up from many courses, especially when they have the holes and yardages.

Royal Dornoch - in the 3rd picture is the hardest par 4 i've ever played, esp since it was into a 30-35 mph wind, #14; 5th pic is a par 3, straight into that wind ... tiny green ... impossible shot!

 

Royal Troon

Prestwick - 1st pic is of the Himalayas; Troon caddies were decidedly divided on it

Turnberry - everyone we spoke with about the course stated it was in incredible shape and that Trump had done a great job with it, and that they expected an Open to return once he is no longer prez, though one caddie at Troon said the RA would not allow it to be called Trump Turnberry; same caddie also stated that whilst under renovation, everyone was kept on the payroll; it is a gorgeous course, no two ways about it

Muirfield - very understated; thin slices of fairways surrounded by very strategically placed bunkers and thick rough

St. Andrews, the town - one of the best experiences in golf is to simply watch the golfers teeing off at #1 and coming up #18, esp with so many tourists/nongolfers appreciating the moment; magical experience, for sure; little produce shop on Market street had the sweetest strawberries I've ever tasted; we bought 3 bins of them; met some LSU guys waiting in line to see if they could get on TOC

Kingsbarns - also a fabulous course, though more Americanized than CS, imo ... beautiful course, however ...

Carnoustie - was rather tame that day

North Berwick - I would play this every time I go to Scotland; it and TOC; would play Dornoch, also, but it's tough getting up there ... the other guy in the group birdied the wall hole with a fabulous high draw into the green, plus the putt

for those that played dornoch before 2018, they have made a major change to #7 ... we actually saw it with the protective gorse removed (and 3 of us hit into the new fairway during our 36-hole march) ...

Crazy! We definitely crossed paths, if only because I know we bumped into the LSU guy in your photo once or twice.

 

We were in Liverpool area on the Rota courses on 30th, 1st and 2nd.. courses in Fife on 3rd thru 7th, played Old Course on 4th.

Can't be totally sure, but pretty confident that dude or someone in his group was the guy that eagled 17 at Lytham from like 200 out, then we bumped into them again at Old Course.

i probably had on a white hat with the crimson A ... those lsu guys were awesome ... 60 seconds in and they've already mentioned saban! ... love 'em ...
