If Koepka made half the makeable putts he missed this Open could have went his way. Lowry's short game was amazing. Controlling those chips over all those moguls on those greens was fabulous. Plus, he putted lights out.

Athletes historically exaggerate. If he lists at 5ft 11 chances are it’s 5ft 8. If a guy says 6ft 0. He’s definitely 5ft 10ish. Just how it is.

Obviously you have never watched BK in person. He is 6 foot, 205 lbs, and the 2 times I watched him play (Masters, TPC) he had more hot women in his gallery than Rickie, who looks about 5'8".

The wives and girlfriend comment is odd. I don’t care what an athlete says, nothing cheaper than talk in sports. I just saw him as just frustrated but he’s kidding himself if he thinks he can stay #1 and not practice.

It’s a bad look for Brooks when he says that he’s hitting it better than anyone in the field and Lowry clips him by 9 shots. All evidence to the contrary.

It’s just a bit of self psychology I would think. Tiger used to do the same sort of thing, saying he won with his B-game, saying he came to win, saying he hit it well but couldn’t putt etc. Jack could never remember a bad shot he hit, only remembered the good ones. All these comments either rubbed people the wrong way or made you believe they were great because they thought differently, depending on whether you were a fan or not.

If you want to use this as one more reason not to like him, fine, but the fact is he is the best player in the world right now. By far.

BK is closer 6' than 5'8" for sure . Saw him at PGA also, not a small guy, Rory & him are both extremely fit. They share that. Surprised by Justin Rose, bigger, taller than one would assume.
