I know I've been the first guy to say this happens on every play....but it really looked like Garopolo got clocked in the head on that last 3rd down.

Earlier he got shoved out of bounds on another crucial play and no call. Though I agreed with the no call, often that does get called.

Anyway. Such is life. But if you're a niners fan...

This is why I hate watching the NFL. The whole game is about the 4th quarter. . They should just start the game with 10 minutes to go at a tie and see who scores. Lol.

Kind of crazy that we had a unanimous MVP this year but we'll end thinking the NFL belongs to a different guy.

Mahomes was awesome this postseason. Not even at his best they beat the best D in the league

Very well said. He seems to have ice in his veins. So composed, so special in so many ways. Pay the man the largest contract ever for he is worth every bit of it.

NFL entertainment at a high level Mr. Patrick Mahomes is folks. This 24 year old stud is so blowing minds with his calm amazing winning performances on the field. Bravo to him and it's a blast to watch.

He’s a stud. Can’t wait for the 2020/2021 schedule out. A kc vs Balt in Baltimore seems to be fitting next season.

He's a space alien. It looks like he movin in slo mo but then the D looks frozen, is like space time warp. He's also very solid and can take hits.

 

That said, he made some pretty bad mistakes in the pocket and throws. Must be crazy nerves and that D was almost too much to handle.

Morning. Here’s a story from the Super Bowl you probably haven’t heard. It’s about Austin Reiter, who Sunday snapped every ball to Patrick Mahomes.

‌

A few years ago, Reiter was a member of the Cleveland Browns. That team that went 0-16 — after going 1-15 the year before. Reiter couldn’t crack the starting lineup, and was instead limited to special teams play.

‌

Before the start of the 2018 season, Cleveland cut him. Arguably the worst team the NFL has ever seen determined that Austin Reiter wasn’t good enough to play for them anymore.

‌

It makes sense. You go 1-31, you might as well clean house. And if you’re fired by that team, it’s fair to wonder if your career is over, right?

‌

But, as Reiter said Sunday, “One man’s trash is another man’s treasure.”

‌

He said it as he stood in the middle of the celebratory swirl of the Kansas City Chiefs locker room, wearing a Super Bowl champion hat on his head and a Super Bowl champion t-shirt over his shoulder pads. He was about to get his hands on the Vince Lombardi Trophy, give it a kiss and pose for a picture. 

‌

The guy who couldn’t make it on one of the worst teams in the league had just been a starter on the best team in the league.

‌

“The NFL is crazy,” he said. “The Lord works in mysterious ways, and here I am.”

‌

He was there because he kept working. Kansas City signed him the day after he got cut by the Browns. A few months later, the Chiefs won a game, which is hardly newsworthy except that it was the first game Reiter had played in that his team had won in nearly four years.

‌

This season, he became the starting center — all 16 regular season games and all three playoff contests. He was the man in the middle of one of the most explosive offenses in the league. And Sunday night, a guy who got cut by Cleveland played 73 snaps and is now a Super Bowl champion.

Feel bad for Kyle Shanahan. Media piling on him the couple of days after the super bowl.

He called some nice plays down the stretch and truthfully Garopolo missed some guys (the Sanders play and missing Kittle wide open on another) and they had a costly false start on another. Not to blame Garopolo, he is who he is, a good but not Mahomesian QB. This happens

He didn't call a perfect game , but they could have definitely won this game with his play calling
