Have you tried just not releasing the putter?

I've found that i must learn to get my mind away from my hands during the putt. And the best way to do that is to focus on some alternative. Justin Rose tells us to 'not move your eyes' during any putting stroke. I visualize a colored spot below the ball, unseen, as it rests on the green. My most important stroke motion is to hit the back of the ball as if a thumb tack were in the rear center of the ball.

So, if those two ideas are paramount my stroke is much more confident. I aim for the tack and watch for the spot and let the ball roll.

One of the guys I play with starts with a bend in his right wrist and loses some of the bend coming through the ball.

I'm same and its taken me decades to learn to position myself to see the line. As for left lead wrist, I am a fan of Tigers putting stroke, hold putter in fingers with slightly stronger right hand to ensure release (right hand more on top of putter vs in the palm). I don't think about lead wrist at impact but just try to feel the back of my left hand move towards the target with natural right hand release.

 

As for left eye dominant and seeing the line. I can finally see the line by getting my eyes under the ball. This is what I did. So, set up with your natural putting stance and your left eye directly over the ball and then just move slightly back from the ball - letting your eyes move from over the ball to under the ball. Pat Perez said it takes a while to get your head in the proper position to see the line that is best FOR YOU. I experimented a bit and found by getting my eyes under the ball I can see the entire line from the ball/putter face to the hole. I lengthened my putter 1/2 inch and went 1 degree flat and have never putted better. Good luck.
