best and longest 5wood ？

Im going to dump my 3 wood because I really cant hit it off the deck and never use it off the tee because I hit my apex 2 hybrid really far off the tee but not great off the deck either.. so Im looking for the longest 5wood .. anybody compared the g410 to the f9？im a lefty so ootions are basically tm ping cobra titleist

ive got the epicflash subzero 3w now and I just find it hatefull. I love the look of it at address but I find it just goes nowhere.. ive tried various shafts in it..it dosnt beat my old g10 17* 4wood to be fair.. for me I think the jailbreak just feels dead.. even my hybrid that I smash just feels dead often surprising me by how far it went

Cobra LTD. Still a bomb!!! You could go for the 3-4 and set at 16º or just get the 4-5.

I have really been impressed with my G410 thus far, before I had a G25 4w (but only used it off the tee) and also tried a Cobra F7. The F7 I will say was one of the longest probably edging the G410 slightly. But the G410 for me fits my eye/swing better. I also use the same shaft as in my driver with it, an OG Proforce v2 FYI.

Dump your 3 wood, dump your hybrid and forget the 5 wood idea.......get a Ping G400 #2 17* as it's great from the tee and easy off the deck. Simples.

Not sure about which is the best or longest given that each OEM for the last number of years has been producing some fantastic fairway woods. You'd be hard pressed to find some of today's offerings being able to go toe to toe with an Adams Super LS or LS VST, Cally XHP or XHP2 or various TEE models to name a few. Concensus will be to jump up to 16*-17* of loft (4wd) as it is easier to elevate while still producing good enough spin numbers to get the distance. This has been a golden age so to speak for fairway woods for a number of years now.

Longest is going to be Callaway Rogue Sub Zero or Epic Flash Sub Zero. Jailbreak technology is no joke and those are the two fairway woods that have it. If I had to enter a long drive competition with a fairway wood I would go with one of those.

 

That sad you also asked what the best was. For me that's the Cobra F9 Speedback Tour. Main reason is the lie angle. I'm on the taller end and the lie angle on the Callaway clubs are very flat(55* 3 wood and 55.5* 5 wood). I play my Cobra in a shaft postion that puts it at 60.7* on the lie angle. Besides the lie angle the look, feel and performance is awesome and the rails really help with shots off the deck. The Cobra is not as long as the Callaways but it's pretty close, suits my swing much better and because it's suits my swing better is much more accurate for me.

As a fellow southpaw, this is the greatest club made. Tight lies 14* put a low launch, low spin shaft in, and you'll be shmurddering the ball off the deck.

My 915F 5 wood is also very long, almost surprisingly long sometimes. So much so that its a little too close to my 3 wood in distance sometimes.

Best is a subjective opinion, however distance wise having worked with V-Steels, Nikes, and a couple Pings, I know my aeroburner has definitively been the longest 5 wood I've tested/played.

G410 19* hybrid flies 250 for me, stupid long and high. Flat lie angle really makes a difference as well. Might be worth a look if you dont like fairways

ive got the Apex19 18* hybrid that I can hit pretty far off the tee and low.. so its my go to for short par 4s or anything into a wind.. Id like a fairway I can hit much higher though.. specifically for hitting into greens.. the 18* hybrid just runs and bounces too much for par5 approaches

ive got the flash subzero 3 wood now and It just dosnt work for me.. Ive tried Cally several times in the past.. FT Fusions.. F3.. now the flash..not trying to bash cally.. they make great clubs but for whatever reason none of them have worked for me. ive had success with ping and tm.. never tried cobra but the rails have almost got me

I can recommend F9 very highly. I play a Tour 4-5W (not available in lefty) and standard 3-4W both in HZRDUS Smoke. Straight up bombers.

Flash 5w. It doesn't have the same design DNA as the sub zero 3w you have. Open it down to 17 and bombs away.

 

Other options - and it's what I did - is get a tour issue "4w" 2016 M1 head off eBay. For some reason there's like five or six 16 to 17.5* heads floating around at all times and mine is an absolute bullet machine. If you don't mind building your own club or having a shop build something for you, this is the route I suggest you go.
