Junior Golf Shoes

Any positive or negative reviews on shoes? The problem is that junior shoes often do not have similar tech as adult shoes. Have been pretty much adidas the last few years and thought we would give Nike a try for more comfort. Not adult sizes yet, so may have to get a women’s shoe to fit into a youth 6.5.

 

I know once they get into adult sizes, there are a lot more options. Looking for comfort on walking 18 as number 1 priority. Traction would be number 2. Waterproof would be number 3. Design/looks would be the least important.

We like our footjoys. One thing we found out the wrong way with my son is that he needs arch support and footjoys and Adidas seem to have the most. He had a par of puma that had zero arch support and it aggravated his Svers disease. Hopefully as his foot grows we will get into the adult shoes with way more options

My daughter wore Nike when she was younger. I can’t say she ever really generated enough torque that grip was an issue. But the material was not waterproof, and her pink shoes became an ugly brown after a few practice sessions. Luckily her foot is big, women’s size 6 at 10 years old, so she fancies Ecco. That was Christmas last year.

I had gotten some spikeless shoes for my son because he said they were comfortable and with walking 18 I thought that was important... until I saw his back foot slipping out from under him. Went to the adidas outlet and picked up some spiked shoes again and haven't looked back.

 

BTW - getting into adult shoes is cool for the better styles, etc. but they're also twice as expensive!!!

My son was in Nike then last year I was in Dicks and they had Puma junior spikeless shoes on a crazy clearance for $5 a pair (not lying) so I bought a 5, 6, and 7. He just started wearing the 5s and LOVES them. Took two rounds to break them in but says they are so comfortable and he has no traction issues.

Adidas makes a junior shoe with the BOA technology and my kids have loved it. If you aren't familiar with BOA, that is where you don't have to lace up your shoes. So much easier not having to deal with lacing a shoe.

Found my 8YO junior size 3 & 4 of the Footjoy Junior DNA on eBay for cheap last November. Picked up another one in size 5 this year. We are set for a number of years. Great shoe.

From a 6 YO point of view these are awesome. Got spikes, soft, comfortable, waterproof, stylish, don’t have to worry about shoelace coming lose. Bought them online for $40.

My son only wants to wear Nike these days. He can't wait until he can fit into some of the adult models. Hopefully by then he will be on staff with them. LOL!!!

Loved the foot joy dna. Not so high on the adidas and boa. Have had 4 pairs of those the last two years. Going to try Nike’s in a ladies size to fit a youth size.

My son has worn 4 successive pairs of the Adidas Boas.. He refuses to let us get him shoes with laces. Seriously the laziest kid I know.

The main reason I like them is I don't have to keep telling my kid to tie her dang shoes. Before BOA I swear I was trying shoes even other hole.
