Driving Irons - Anyone compare 2019 P790 UDI with U500?

Title pretty much says it.. I'm looking to upgrade my driving iron and caught between the new P790 and U500. Most important thing to me is looks at address to be honest. I've been able to hit the U500 but can't find a p790 to hit near me. I'm looking to as little offset as possible and a thinner sole/topline. The U500 fit my eye pretty perfectly but the sound/feel was meh. Any thoughts?

ive hit both and to my eye the UDI looks smaller with less offset...but looking at the specs the u500 is 2.2 offset while the UDI is 3.2, so I guess im wrong thee. To my eye tho the UDI looked better.

like you mentioned I didnt like the u500 sound at all and personally it didnt feel great either. The UDI when pured felt very soft and the ball jumps off the face. I had a lot more success with the UDI over the u500, but these are simulator numbers. Also for what I want from a driving iron, the UDI launched lower which I prefer

I've hit both, very similar results. I could work both of them they way I wanted. If I had to pick, I'd go with the U500 based on feel at address.

I would say you need to hit both and pick the one that looks and feels the best to you

Never hit the udi, but came away impressed with u500. The look at address is awesome! I think if you hit the u500 outside with a premium ball the feel would be just fine.

I had the newer P790 in a 2 iron and struggled with it. Recently got fit for the top end of my bag (two clubs between driver and my 4 iron) ended up with one of those clubs being a U500 3 iron.

Absolutely love it!

I just seem to hit it really well, very similar to my Titleist CB 4 iron which again I love.

Tried both. VERY similar in terms of looks/feel/performance. I think p790 felt a tad more solid when struck solid. Ended up going with p790 to match the rest of my set.

Same here. Bought the P790 UDI 2-iron and struggled with it even though I'm a solid iron player. I just got the U510 3-iron with the Even Flow White 100 HY 6.5 and I absolutely love it.
