Sub 60 gram stable driver shaft?

I'm looking for a light but stable driver shaft for my dad. He hit the Atmos 6S in the F9 solid, but he's 65 now and could use all the speed he can get. Thanks!

Tensei Blue. I got better numbers and speed with it in the 50 gram version bs Atmos Blue. I just didn’t get along with the F9 head, it looks open to me all the time and I make the wrong adjustments. But that’s my own fault, between my mind and my eyes not the club...

Low priced option Grafalloy ProLaunch Blue 45 S (48 grams)

if he dont care about looks and graphics, just look for the "old version", its only graphics thats changed, the shaft is still the same

Can't go wrong with the Accra CS1. I have a 100mph swing, and play a tip regular in the 50g, and it's amazing. That's not to say it's overly stiff, because it's not. It allows me to have the beautiful soft shaft feel while remaining super stable.

Agree this is a good shout but just be aware the Tensei 50 is actually 57g in stiff flex.

UST Helium has to be one of the most stable shafts at the sub-60g category. Definitely check it out before making a final pick.

Miyazaki's can usually be had for a song and the C. Kua is a really nice option for a cheap cub 60 gram shaft, real deal's used to be found in the cleveland, believe the 290 series of drivers.

It depends on your budget, but there are several options:

 

Most of the newer Graphite Design and Fujikura Evolution series shafts have T1100 wiring in them and offer models in 40 and 50 grams. The UST Helium and Aldila Synergys are lower cost options that are supposedly quite good. Mitsubishi has a lot of premium shafts at the <60g mark in their Bassara, Tensei, and Diamana series that are super stable with exotic graphite materials. The one bonus is almost everyone buys their graphite from Mitsubishi and Aldila these days so you know the stuff is good (and hence why I tend to favour Diamana stuff personally). Accra also has a good stable of sub-60 gram stuff, with their more premium stuff like the J-Spec series being upwards of $1000 but having T1100, Boron, and all the bells and whistles. The new company VA Composites is also doing really well!

 

The most popular moderate to slow swinger shafts in my store this past year were the Accra FX2.0 140 or 150, the VA Composites VYLYN 45 or 55, and the Mitsubishi C6 Blue and Red.

I found an Accra CS1 455 for cheap. I'll start there and see how he likes it. Thanks for all the input though

Not a cheap option but the Fujikura Diamond Speeder is a good choice.

Those are super, super stiff! The 400 series is the tour profile, he better have some speed for that one.

Fujikura platinum or diamond speeder. Don’t be afraid to go up a flex if he still has speed. Usually as the lighter weight versions are softer in torque and sometimes higher launching. It might take a few tries to get the flex just right.

VA Composites Raijin 44, 44 grams and very stable. Not cheap.
