Thought I'd better introduce myself.

 

My name is Andrew Phillips, and am returning to the game after almost a 7 year break. My how have things changed since I gave the game up. Last handicap I had was +2, and was a former State team member for Tasmania and 4 time Club Champion at Tasmania GC.

 

In the process of getting a handicap back, as I have rejoined the GC again. I have found a few things out... New balls, plus old drivers, = UGLY.

 

This is what I used to have in the bag.

 

Callaway GBB 8* stock shaft - Strong

Callaway Warbird 3+ - Steel Stiff

Ram FX Tour Grinds 2-PW - 3* up Steel Stiff

Cleveland 588 RTG 56*

Cobra Trusty Rusty 61*

 

The wedges are still good, mind you, extremely rusty :clapping: But I am no longer good enough to hit the tiny blade of the Rams. My new set should arrive this week.

Welcome back to the greatest game ever devised. I of course always suggest Srixon balls to every level player. I play the Z-URC in the summer and am in love with that ball! My local Srixon rep tightened me up with some AD*333 Srixon balls for fall golf. I played them yesterday for the first time and have a really hard time with the fact that they are only a $20/dozen ball. They play like a ton of premium balls that I've played in the past with the exception that they are AWESOME! Go out and grab a dozen - for $20 what do you have to loose?
