I'm more confused by all of that Hippo/Dunlop stuff in the last picture that is still in plastic. What drives someone to buy 8-10 golf clubs and then just say "meh" and never hit them. Even better, what drove them to buy them in the first place? Could the deal really have been that good that the ROI seemed high enough to justify....on Hippo?

I love to see other people's stash. Even though I know I need to cut mine down by about 75%, there is some comfort in knowing that I'm in good company here.

The fitting studio I work at did that once with a bunch of our demos we couldn't sell after 3 years of being open. We traded in a huge box full of Cleveland RTX3 wedges that were just haggard after being bent 100x each, faces nicked, and huge wear spots and shank marks. The store was offering $50 per wedge trade and they were selling online on the same website brand new for $79.99...we knew we would be holding onto these forever so we went the trade in route, even though if we really tried we probably could have gotten $60 a wedge to a group of uninformed Kijiji patrons, but it wasn't worth the hassle. We also had about 3-4 each of 2017 M1 hybrids and fairway woods and a few F7 fairways and hybrids. The F7 woods they were brand new for $100 as promo and were offering trade of $75...

We traded it in for some product we needed ASAP. It wasn't ideal because we we paid cost for the product, traded it in at a big discount, to buy something at retail that we can get at cost. However, it cleaned out the shop of excess inventory we didn't need/had no way of fitting/ordering anymore. The cashier's face was priceless when I lifted these two huge boxes in and as she called the manager on duty right away...he laughed and actually thanked me because they were getting low on inventory!

Those are all good questions. I just liked the big Hippo bag. Even had some brochures still in the pockets. All those clubs were part of a much larger purchase 10 or so years ago. Believe it or not, it those Dunlop woods don’t feel half bad. I’m guessing my kids will have 1 in their bag when they get older.

Putters are kind of my thing, so I have a ton of them. Especially heel shafted blades.

Any chance you have a Taylormade v-steel 3 wood in that collection? I would love to try that 3-wood again and see if my fond memories of that club are accurate
