Wow - I hope there are no delays to the season. The start to free agency is INSANE!!!! I think some GMs need to be checked for some sort of virus.....

Hopkins to the Cardinals for David Johnson - What in the world is Bill O'Brien doing? Feels like he has a bet with someone on how badly he can manage personnel.

Diggs to Buffalo?

Brady done with the Pats with TB as his only real option?

Rivers to Indy?

Witten to Oakland?

Cam done in Carolina for Bridgewater?

Titans overpay for Tannehill

And lots more - it's insane out there folks. Let's talk about it.

I like the diggs trade for both teams, which are probably my 2 favorite NFL teams actually so that's nice

Diggs will help Josh Allen, he and John Brown is a nice duo. Hes a bit of a headcase though so I give it maybe 2 years before hes mad again.

Vikings needed to move on because he was becoming a distraction, and they get a first rounder in a loaded WR class draft. Maybe they get a Tee Higgins or etc

I think Diggs is gonna just make Buffalo better. With the Pats situation they could step up.

Now Brady.... Can the Bucks contend with him? Gonna be weird. I think he plays one year, spends most of it running for his life and retires. They have some great receivers but doesn't seem like a lot else.

With one of the actions taken today I find myself now ready to purchase a ticket to B of A Stadium and drive the 2 hours to see some live NFL action.

How the Cards pulled that uneven snag is the most alarming to me. I think after 3 road wins in the playoffs that Tannehill earned a big raise. Teddy as the QB for the Panthers? See my above post. Rivers to Indy will work if the ole boy doesn't break down. Brady to Tampa? Well at least there is a great head coach for the Bucs. Witten ? don't care. Diggs to Buffalo is huge I feel as Josh Allen will utilize his talent for sure, plus you have tenacious Cole Beasley to slant it up, the pair will cause some secondary's fits

Niners fan here.

Dream scenario for me is us drafting CeeDee Lamb (Die-Hard Sooners fan also). Great playmaker that has above average speed and top tier hands. I think he would pair well with Deebo.

On the other hand, I think a solid pick on the D-Line would be smart. Unless we can get a good FA signing.

But who knows! I'm interested to see how things unfold in the coming days.

I'm so sad. TB is long gone to the Errol Flynn helmet guys and the Defense has been seriously raided. Lost four starters to other teams and a DB for cap reasons. No way Pats could of paid any of those guys and especially TB unless there was some serious financial maneuvering. Think Pats have like 5.5 mil. in cap space. Now next year they will be loaded. Still total bummer that Brady won't play his last game in a Pats jersey.

Hopkins for a "ham sandwich" !! It's going to be a great team in AZ! With the 8th pick I think Simmons, Okudah or Brown are there....but no matter what they are getting a stud at 8.

I read earlier that Hopkins informed the team he was going to hold out unless he got a contract worth 18-20 mil/year.

Diggs to Buffalo is huge.

Brady has some serious weapons, can they protect him?

Keenum to the Browns should light a serious fire under Baker.

49ers pick the 13th pick, I feel like they will flip that for more picks.

LV picking up Witten and Mariota seems like useless news. I don't see Mariota being anything more than a backup to Carr, as good as Carr isn't.

Rivers getting $25 mil for 1 year in Indy seems like a nice sendoff for him.

Brees 2 year/$50 mil is good for the Saints, plus they picked up Malcolm Jenkins today.

 

I'm sure I'm forgetting some but it's definitely been a big shake up of the league.

Bridgewater to Carolina; Chris Harris signed with the Chargers is pretty big - Chargers brought in Bulaga and Joseph for the OL - I imagine it is to start the rookie QB Herbert? Maybe Tua if Miami passes.

Brady should have gone out on top and retired after that last Super Bowl win.....a la Peyton Manning. This past season and this recent drama seem so unceremonious to one of the game's all time greats.

As much as I like Chris Harris, he has shown the susceptibility of getting burned on long plays the past couple of years. He's still a terrific corner but I wouldn't put him in the classification of shut down corner anymore. I cannot root for the Chargers, as a Bronco fan, but I will root for Chris Harris, the player.

Melvin Gordon to the Broncos. I didn't even know he was a free agent. His holdout and him not performance kicked him in the sack.

Change of scenery might do him some good. Should take the load off Phillip Lindsay and make Royce Freeman expendable. Freeman hasn't lived up to his stature he came into the NFL with. Should be an interesting year in Broncos country.

Gordon is the same player he has always been. Chargers were a mess last year from play calling to QB to identity. He got a late start and never really had a chance... I would expect a good season from him in Denver.

Wow saints step up with a big payday to Sanders to be the slot guy. They're definitely looking to get one more ring for Brees

I don’t know that they put him in the slot, he’s clearly most effective outside. It’s a nice pickup as #2 WR was a weakness for them.

 

I think this opens the door for Niners to go after OBJ or draft a WR. I would offer the 31st for OBJ and a 3rd.

I feel like there's a lot happening but i'm not sure what has changed.

I think Buffalo got a little better because they have a great defense and Diggs should help their offense. Their biggest "acquisition" might be the Patriots starting someone like Andy Dalton and nothing really related to their team

I think the Cardinals with Hopkins and another year of development for Kyler Murray should help them. They will put up a lot of points.

Is Foles a difference maker in Chicago, maybe not. Is Bridgewater even an above average starting quarterback? There isn't a lot of evidence that he is

Brady i'm super interested in watching. I watched a decent amount of Pats last year and he made some awful throws. He is a really smart QB at throwing it away and not making mistakes....but i'm not sure this will be an alltime offense or anything. Brady might be the 15th best QB in the league right now.

Very interested to see who starts in NE next year. Felt like that could've been a good Mariota spot to give him a look. He checks down a lot , doesn't make mistakes...and they always throw a lot of short stuff to backs and tight ends

The Bills may well win the division by default, but I’m skeptical that they’re actually a good team.

They had a really easy schedule last year - their own divisional opponents, the NFC Least, the Bungles. This year, they have the NFC West and AFC West - much better teams and a lot more travel.

BIll O Brien lol. The more time that goes by since the Buckner trade, the more I really like it. Given the haul the vikings got for Diggs, I feel maybe Lynch could have gotten another pick or two but to get Buckner at #7, get 4 years of probowl/all pro level out of him and not have to pay 21m a year and recoup #13 overall......nice biz deal there. Also, unless OBJs contract gets reworked, and his value is readjusted according to his performances lately......I think Im out on him. Especially considering the ridiculous amount of depth and quality in the upcoming WR class in the draft.

Agreed on the Buckner trade. I think that 13th pick will be flipped, hopefully to a late 1st round + late 2nd round/early 3rd round

What is there to figure out? Hes the dude for 2020, 26m reasons why and plus none of the other viable options provide an upgrade. So until those things change, Gucci is leading the way. Plenty of worse options to be taking snaps. The interesting part will be after this year, where we have an out that will be fairly light to take should the Niners move on.
