I just got my BM putters.  Love the feel and roll of it.  Design is very nice.  Only thing is I sent him a link to my 009 CT CoA and he said he could get me the same finish as Scotty’s brushed black...

 

He missed it by a little bit...

Maybe more than a little. The Cameron is way glossier and reflective. What did the picture on the COA link look like? Notice any difference in feel/sound/roll between the two putters after first impressions?

Nice putter but that finish is not even close. Like me saying I look like Brad Pitt.

Yeah that's not even close but I like Brandon's finish much better.

Not only did I send the CoA link, I sent pics myself.  Can’t compare the 2.  The 009 is beached, so the sound is definitely different than Brandon’s.  Feel is very nice.  I love it.  But I definitely will be contacting someone to have it refinished.

Now, there were some cleanliness issues with the putter like adhesive/goop all over the shaft, tape and adhesive sticking out from the grip, a bleed issue from one of the dots on the sole, but I sent a message to Brandon and he was more than accommodating for the discrepancies that I had with the putter and has good customer service.

His communication is lacking and could definitely be better, but the putter makes up for it overall. I think it’s priced well, especially if you have no issues with your putter. I just seem to have gotten the one out of the bunch that slipped through the cracks, but once again he was apologetic and offered to pay for shipping to get it back to him, and expedite it back to me.

All things considered, I know if I ordered another putter from him it would be a different experience, a better experience.

Just got my first totally custom order with him confirmed this week.

 

Not sure on exact production time right now but looking forward to it!

 

Looked at a number of different folks but ultimately went with him in large part to support a local/SoCal business.

Carbon Patina No. 1 with a traditional plumbers neck and a paint filled topline but unfilled flange line. 

 

Then some bumper and face stamping but nothing crazy. Time to buy a new can of putter butter!

Sounds nice, simple but custom to you. I'm a fan of his No. 2 a bit more myself.

Took a bit longer than expected( COVID and custom putters…) but came today and I love how it turned out. 

 

I know some have had issues before but the shaft install is perfect on mine. I asked them to send me the leather grip loose because wasn’t sure I was going to use it initially, the size is nice and feels great so I may, but as I plan to make this my gamer may end up putting a flatso 1.0 on it just because that is what I keep coming back to on other putters.

I’m in the middle of figuring out a drawing for his thruxton body right now.  
 

I may have a I move my Byron to swing it which is my hold up, I know I’ll never get a DH89 in the same shape as mine.

I'm not trying to take away from Brandon as I like his work and wide body model but don't sacrifice the DH89. 

 

The DH89 is your only Anser shape, you have a wide body in the Artisan, the Artisan is hot as you said and will be tough to beat. 

 

Definitely think you should get a BM putter but not sacrificing a DH89 for.

I love BM putters. He does really amazing work. The only thing I can nitpick is with his tiny little stamps. They always seem blurry a bit to me. They aren't crisp like his larger stamps. 

 

@tod071 have you contacted him? I mean...he did give you a matte black finish, not exactly what you wanted. Thay cameron has so much hand softening it is hard to compare the putters...I agree

This one’s pretty damn close to the black Cameron finish I’ve seen.  If he polished the head prior instead of buffing I’m sure it’d be nearly identical.

Nice putter - does the bullet sole on the bottom change the sounds at all or is that for the weight?

It was to remove weight.  I was told the Truxton comes off the mill at 450g, so that was removed to get the weight down to what I was looking for.

What's with all the welded necks? Is that just something he does by request, or is that his standard build so he can mill heads and necks separately?

 

 

Yeah his stuff is really awesome. I love it. 

 

The necks being Welded is both practical and aesthetic. I prefer the look of a welded neck. I'm never been a huge fan of the one piece, fully milled putter.   

 

Milling a head and neck separately is also more cost effective for the builder and saves material. 

 

I can't really speak to why BM chooses to weld necks.

pretty sure the trux is the only wide body currently.
