A cheap high handicapper's ball review.

So I took some time today to test some balls out at a putting and chipping green by my job. I tried out 4 different sets of balls, the duosoft spin, Callaway strata voodoo, Noodle easy straight, and the Wilson 50 elite, and mid test I threw in a Mojo I found on course last year.

I used a 56° sand wedge from Warrior custom golf and the 48° from my Cleveland VAS 792's.

I found that chipping I personally could not discern any difference between the balls in regards to feel, flight, dispersion. I had a few more misses with the sand wedge than the pitching wedge, but that's more due to swing probably.

I didn't see much of a difference with spin, they all seemed to land and run a short distance.

In regards to putting the duosoft spin felt the best off of the putter but the difference was negligible and feel is a personal preference.

If I had to choose between a ball I would probably pick the Noodle easy straight because of price and availability at the time of this review.

Of course now that I think back the test isn't complete because I only chipped into the fairway, not the green. In my defense I went there with the intention of practicing and finding out my chipping distances, not writing a review.

Here's the results of the pitching wedge, the blue mojo was short because it was one those give up midway through the shot for no reason moments.

Your colored ball seem to have much worse dispersion than the white ones.

The blue in particular was one of those chips where you give up halfway through for no obvious reason. The rest I can probably put down to my handicap and not practicing as much as I should.

The lack of practice is inexcusable imo as the course is 5 minutes away from work and I could easily spend 30-45 minutes a couple days a week at least.

I might suggest repeating this on an actual green where you can see the difference in roll-out. What you have here is telling you more about your chipping accuracy than how the ball is reacting IMO.
