Anyone else think this video is flat out dangerous??

When I'm watching utube video I start with whatever video is suggested based on my history, so I watch golf repair tournament play women/men, music opera the boss, TED X, and lots more. I let whatever utube has in it's setup run for hours and hours as background while I'm repairing a club reading or on blogs posting or reading about anything that interests me, so I don't spend much time searching it's pot luck. I'm prepared to agree Mrshortgame like anyone will do something stupid but I'm not going to search for it, I've defended Mrshortgame because I can't accept he/you or anyone is 100% awful or otherwise at anything....

Uh, ok. I really have no clue what you're saying or what you're responding to. The video of him regripping a golf club is an awful video 100% from the standpoint of safety and quality.

Well I've agreed Mrshortgame can do stupid things like anyone includes you and me, but I can't agree that he's doing stupid 100% of the time.

 

One video Mrshortgame did was using a ebike to carry your bag of clubs around the Golf course, perfect setup for me as I'll ride the ebike to golf and home again.

I think you should delete that comment because it's so wrong, actually I'm surprised the Mods have not removed it as yet...

I don't have the ability to delete someone else's comment. I never said all of his video's were anything.

A vice is definitely not necessary.  I’ve tested (and wasted) hundreds of grips in my own garage.  I simply hold the shaft in my left hand and push the hook blade to the  butt end directionally away from my body with my right. Not once have I cut myself or felt like I could cut myself.  It doesn’t seem like it takes much strength to do it, but I could see it being more difficult with a dull blade.  Using a vice would seem to add unnecessary time, but I suppose is probably a safer way to avoid accidently scratching a graphite shaft.  That has happened to me a couple times because  I got sloppy on the cutting angle.

I've regripped hundreds, if not thousands, of clubs and never had a vice. Back in the day I used straight gasoline instead of solvent. Got the job done. Sometimes people just need things to complain about, even if the thing they're complaining about doesn't affect them in the slightest. Relax people, it ain't that serious.
