Help me narrow down a list of possible new drivers

Here's the situation:

I have been playing a Titleist 905 R 9.5* for the past year. When my swing is good, the driver is the best out there. the problem, my swing tends to have its faults (and really, whose doesn't) and when it isn't all there the Titlesit likes to hit balls really far left.

I previously played a Cleveland Launcher 460 10.5* and loved it. I unfortunately had the shaft break on me (not my fault though, just snapped) and it is currently unplayable and I would prefer to have it reshafted to use as a back up.

I have a few limits on this new driver. I would like it to be able to purchase it in a 10* or 10.5*. It needs to set up square if not slightly open. Seeing a closed face with my natural draw scares the crap out of me. Also, I don't have an unlimited budget. I am willing to do a little bargain hunting on ebay and would prefer to keep the cost to less than $250.

Are there any other "excessive drawers of the ball" out there that have found a driver that works well for them? Thanks for the help.

FT-5 Tour head sits square to .5* open and comes in draw, neutral, and fade bias. However I don't know about staying under $250.

I would say spend the $250 on range balls/lessons and stop hitting it left.

If you hit the cleveland well, just get it fixed and start pounding on it again.

IMO you wont find anything better than the 905R, but if you know the cleveland works you answered your own question.

i consider myself a excessive drawer, lol i seem to have great results with the taylormade tp 10.5 head so far and i hit a friends nike sumo which i recently purchase and felt i can hit there very well, i have not yet had the time to play them against eachother yet, but when i do i will tell u how they did

Square to open in a 10.5 loft?.....Adams BTY, Ping G10, Nickent 4DX tour spec can all be add for less than $250....Burner TP will be square to open as well but might cost a bit more....

Hibore XL Tour....its 3 degrees open.

Bridgestone J33R 460. Definitely not closed, and can easily be found NEW for 250 or less. Neutral weighting, square to open face, HOT head, workable, and very long.

i've found the nike sq tour to perform similar to the 905R, but more forgiving and a little longer. while i don't own a 905R, i've demoed it many times, including on the range and one even for a round (8.5* 905R with speeder 757). during the round i did hit 2 bad draws and my sq tour only 1 draw, but not bad. you can pick a sq tour up real cheap now.

any Taylormade TP driver... I too have a natural draw and know exactly what you're talking about. I got a hold of my quad TP and LOVE it. Its my anti-left club...

sorry to jack your post, but what's available for an under 10 hcap player out there?

after march this year, i've had a miserable time shopping for drivers ...

nothing seems exciting ...

what's there now for a low-spin high launch option?
- cleveland xls tour
- superquad 282 .. this real or another marketing gimmick?
- ft-5 tour

Cobra Speed Pro D 2* open. Cobra L4V X square to open face with max MOI. If you hit it left with this puppy it's definately a swing problem.
