Game Golf website down. What is my next tracking system to buy?

I figured I would start tracking my stats again. I have the original Game Golf system, and I always enjoyed using it.

I could not get in to the app on my Mac today, and it looks like the website is down.

I liked the simplicity of the Game Golf. Tagging was second nature after a couple rounds, downloading the rounds was easy.

I see the Shot Scope V2 and ARCOS.

What system are you using?

2 rounds in with the Arccos.. I find it doesn't pick up all my shots.. putter seems to be the worst for picking up hits... first time I have ever tried anything like this.. hopefully I can figure out the bugs as I go along.. i do like it so far..

It was free with my clubs.. can't beat the price

Game Golf user here. 73 uploaded rounds. I think I'll make the switch to Arccos. Would really appreciate feedback from Arccos users who came from Game Golf.

Really wish I could download my raw data. Sucks that the company couldn't make it.

What has been the issue with Game Golf?

 

I have about 150 rounds uploaded and had some issues last weekend with uploading raw data.

They're closing up shop and shutting down. They haven't announced it but the customer service numbers have been shut down, support no longer works and every day a different part of the app no longer works.

Today I noticed we can no longer access hole by hole details of previous rounds.

With Game Golf, I can't even log on.

I tried Arccos and didnt like it as much. Didnt want to have a phone in my pocket.

Is the Game Golf Transfer program not working either? I can't even log in to transfer data off the unit now.

I don’t know. I’ve tried logging in the last few days. Nothing is working it seems like.

Game Golf was very easy for me, and gave me everything I needed.

Right now I’m leaning towards Shot Scope. No phone, no tagging, seems like people are getting shots recorded more often. The only thing I see that ARCCOS gives you is a handicap for different parts of your game.

Just a note was a big Game Golf user that switched to Arccos ahead of Shot Scope primarily due to the size and bulk of the watch, one of my playing partners has shot scope. Compare it to having my phone in my pocket and eventually moving to the Link product to the bulky watch which really annoyed me. I sere that shot scope is about to release version 3 which is meant to start shipping June July, similar to the link product.

Just a note if the Link product does ship round July it is very similar game golf in wearability etc so there may be an option

I've been using the OG GameGolf system since it was first released. I'm on my third unit as I broke the first two so the news that they are closing shop is disappointing to me. I tried Arccos for a month and didn't like it. I'll look into the Link system as I like having stats available. Actually, my PSR is going to be messed up as tagging the shot is a part of it. I suppose I can still tag but not upload.

They should probably pull their units from Amazon since they're now defunct. Judging by the frequency of reviews, people are still buying them.

Does the Arccos still require a phone in the pocket? I saw that they have a Link unit that attaches to the belt?

Hey guys, I have a shot scope v2 (pre-ordered v3 as well) and my buddy has the Arccos. Bottom line, we both love them. Just depends on what you are looking to accomplish. Shotscope is a "better deal" which is why I got it. Works as a GPS watch, and recording putts is super easy. Arccos has more detailed stats like strokes gained blah blah. Both are great products, but my advice is they are both cheap-ish. Does my shot scope sometimes not record a shot, or record a duplicate? Yeah, probably 3 a round that you fix when you are looking at your data anyway. Is my friend overwhelmed by how awesome Arccos is? No, but we are both really impressed with it. Shotscope was 140 when I bought it, to expect it to perform as a 1,000 dollar purchase just isn't realistic. I will say, the watch is bulky, but it is also super lightweight, and I don't notice it in the slightest. Happy flag hunting!

They have the Link, which wears on your belt, but it has not shipped yet. It's been delayed quite a bit from what I see.

Update guys: i can confirm that the Game Golf website is working again. I have logged in fine twice today to look at my previous rounds and so forth. My take on it is that it was either down for maintenance or the technicians could be furloughed like some companies are worldwide. Hope this helps ? good golf ?⛳️??‍♂️

@gdb99 no worries glad to share the news. I too love my GG Classic. I am on my first device and second belt clip. (First one spring popped off) Its one of my favourite things to do after a round ?⛳️ Good golf ??‍♂️⛳️

My wife gets annoyed by my optimism, in this case I’m glad I was and didn’t throw my GG away....or delete the app/software.

I was pretty happy they came back to life. Sadly my third original unit's clasp is starting to take a dump. I may have to engineer something and epoxy it on the unit.

That's why I had to replace my Classic with the Live. I like the Classic much more, seems like the battery lasted a little bit more.

My GameGolf live has died a few weeks ago & I was planning on getting a replacement (reviews of the pro don’t fill me with confidence so thought I’d keep it simple and stick with what I know). That’s before I tried logging into the iPhone app over the last few days.

Unable to access any of my prior rounds so can only assume GG is down again. Can anyone confirm? Unlikely I’ll buy another if there’s any risk. Looked at Shot scope v3 but will compare with Arccos based on reading here. Thanks!

Coming from GameGolf, you should check out the Shot Scope H4.

I now wear the Shotscope V3 watch. It is much better than GameGolf that I used for a long time. GPS yardages while your playing including lay up and hazards, and then stats after you upload the round. Don’t need a phone and the V3 watch is small enough it’s not distracting. Plus it’s interesting to use the last shot function to see how long that drive you “crushed” really was.

Glad to know it works well. I can't stand a watch when playing golf so i got H4 instead. can't wait for my next round!!
