So what do you guys do in your spare time - besides the obvious.....GOLF ?

I have recently gotten into nutrition. With minimal exercise I have lost 35 lbs over the last 7 months and I plan on losing more. The idea is to create a lifestyle with my eating habits. Do I cheat? Sure...once in awhile. But losing the weight in a healthy manner was my mine concern. This is not a "diet"...it is a lifestyle. It's working and I actually enjoy the challenge of getting healthier food to taste good and keeping the foods unique and refreshing.

Outside of golf....Fish year round, bird hunting in the fall, hiking year round, snowboarding and snowshoeing in the winter.

 

Then of course there is the two year old and my wife.

I had a ski doo mxz 670HO that was super quick but my buddy hit rocks when we were out on the lake and didnt make so i got rid it.Golf is a little safer, just have to be careful of a-holes,bugs and errant balls a little like sledding but with less to lose.God rest his soul.

When I'm not playing golf, I'm working. Working 12 hour days, 6-7 days a week, does not leave much time for anything. I get in rounds when I can. I workout 5 or so times a week after work, and that's about it. I used to spend alot of time on my mustang, but I havent touched it in several years. I havent even seen it in a little over 2 years. We just bought a house, so the wife is trying to get me to do little projects around the house, but work pretty much consumes me for now. And when I'm not at work, I certainly dont want to be working at home.

When I'm not golfing I play and umpire cricket.

Spend time with my wife and our 14-month-old son. He is not old enough to play golf - yet. :D

 

We did a fair amount of travel before our son was born, now it's typically one vacation per year that must be carefully planned.

 

I read obsessively - read all of Winston Churchill's WWII memoirs over nine months last year. :clapping:

 

I enjoy drinking single-malt Scotches and Deutsches Bier as well as gourmet cooking and some serious BBQ action. :drinks:

 

I spin wrenches and twist bolts on my two older German cars.

 

I also manage to fit in some smaller home maintenance and renovation projects here and there.

 

Along with golf and a demanding job, yes, my life is pretty full. :D
