He said he had a heavy tri sole and a softer more rounded tri sole Atwood head.  I went with the more pronounced tri sole.  Yeah I’ll be curious to compare this to my Kingston and my Byron.

Will wait for your review, I've tried a DH89 and it was too clicky for me and Kingston doesn't make LH.

 

But I'm eyeing a heavy tri-sole from him and see if the bumpers and top line can be rounded a bit. Kinda make a budget Timeless T2 that doesn't cost 8K.

My stainless Byron isn’t clicky at all.  Could be the stability shaft but I never noticed that even with the standard Byron shaft

Might depend on the weight and milling, mine was 345g with a very light milling so not much in the face at all. It was a second hand pickup so not how I would spec it.

I ordered one a couple weeks ago and hes been working on it.  Went with a 009 style oilcan putter with custom stampings.  

 

I'll post some pics once I get it.  Can't wait.  Since I'm a lefty seems this is the best route for a newport style putter as it seems they become harder and harder to find.  Just can't justify spending $2k on a circle T

Thanks man.  I’m excited to roll it, he did a great job.  I like the industrial look of the weld on the neck, just hoping it feels as good as it looks.

Did you get stainless with medium milling? That's what mine is and I find it feels medium to medium firm. I like it though because feedback is great. Too soft and I can't start to lose where on the face I'm hitting the ball.

Believe I got the light fly milling option in stainless.

Just received mine and I’m headed to the indoor practice facility to roll a few.  Putters fit and finish is a 10/10.  Milling marks on the head are super uniform throughout, weld esthetics are great. I’m hands on in a manufacturing plant that produces stainless and aluminum welded parts for high end race cars on a daily basis and the weld is uniform as they come.  Putter is a bargain for what he charges.  I’ll be buying the bladed head soon to accompany this one once another covid stim check hits 🤣🤣.    
 

If you’re on the fence about ordering from compass don’t be... he produces a quality product.   
 

Carpet rolling this versus my DH89 at twice the price it feels nearly identical.  Putters do feel different on real greens however so I’m taking that with a grain of salt.   Time to go roll about 200 putts.

After rolling roughly 200 putts last night I can say without a doubt it’s as nice of a feeling head as any other.   Roll is pure and feed back is spot on.  I’m scared to put a stability shaft in it for fear of changing the feel 😂

Looks like I’ll be ordering a bladed head from him with in the next month.  I’m really impressed with his putter.

Sounds like all positive feedback so far. Interested in potentially getting a long neck from Compass. Does anyone have pics of the stock HCs that come with? Also, does anyone know if he can do non-blade style heads? Have seen a couple 7-style heads on IG, wondering if he could do a 9.

I'm pretty sure he can mill you anything you want within reason, I'd email him and ask if he can produce a specific head style.

Yep, reached out on IG and already heard back. Seems like he's flexible with builds.

I’ve only seen the 7 style head in a mallet.   He had a black compass branded head cover and a red head cover with the logo staggered all over it.  I’m going to get the red one with my blade.

Haha I definitely enjoy the goat.  I’ve rolled it twice at the indoor facility and it’ll be in the rotation this year for sure.  My next one should be really really nice in his standard blade head.   I’m excited to see what he does

@Phabs I just saw the IG and that blade looks awesome. I just paid for my order so hopefully he will start it soon. Michael has been awesome in communicating with me. I can’t wait to see mine.

Thanks he did a hell of a job on it.  You’ll be pleased with his work. I’ve had putters from quite a few custom shops now and his work is A-1.  Responds on IG in a timely fashion and is easy to work with.   I rolled my Tiger replica in a two man best ball last weekend and I had three guys on the putting green trying to buy it from me. Complement to him and his work..

@Phabs yea I saw that. I am thinking about ordering another one. I can’t decide if I want to go mallet or blade. I just need to come up with clean design. He was able to accommodate my request and I believe he is very flexible on what he can do. Based on the reviews, I am pretty sure his price will increase with many customers, which I am wishing for him. His work and customer service will definitely attract people. I need to grab as many as I can while I can afford lol
